🔸️ Our wound will bless others! 🔸️

Keeping the love and forgiveness in the midst of suffering is the key to bring out the "power of redemption". Our Lord Jesus possessed this "knowledge" as a revelation. That is why we read in Isaiah 53:11 "by His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities".

Lord Jesus knew that the secret of His power to transfigure people was only on the Cross! All the cruel wounds He suffered on the Cross were conducive to the redemption of this World.... Jesus is now calling us to that Cross!! (Matthew 16:24).

We can offer our sacrifices to God only on the altar of "wounding"!! The great truth about the power of this wound could only be found in Isaiah chapter 53. Yes, the peerless truth is, "Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush Him and cause him to suffer... and the will of the Lord will prosper in His hand" (Isaiah 53:10).

How did Jesus receive what was pleasing (God's will) to God? How that will was prosper in God's hand? The great secret is that when He was crushed, when He was wounded, when He was bruised, when He was oppressed and afflicted.... He did not respond to any of them, but surrendered himself to God as a sacrifice!

So, the crushed experience we are facing is not destructive at all! On the contrary, it is an peerless opportunity for us!!

Admitting ourselves to such crushing and expression of love may or may not touch the heart of the sinner who hurted us! But, it will surely touch the heart of God!

Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Just as we were healed by your scars, have mercy on us to forgive and bless those who hurted us! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ Do not shed tears in front of people! 🔸️

When the Lord Jesus prayed, we read of His "sweat falling to the ground like drops of blood"! (Luke 22:44). Instead of showing our "tears" to any person while we are in distress, we would have the incomparable privilege of life, if we go to our 'regular' Gethsemane and shed tears to our "Father".

Though many persons stand around and telling us their consolation, what's the use? They are all rubbish! Ah, what a consolation it is to wipe away the tears with the finger of our Loving God!!

All that Jesus' tears shed in supplication was the mindset of "not my will; yours be done" in any difficult situation. He said, "My Father, if you are willing to do it, permit that I do not have to undergo these terrible things that are about to happen to me. But do not do what I want. Instead, do what you want.” (Luke 22:42). Sometimes, God could change circumstances! In some other times, without changing the circumstances, He will lead us into it! Whatever may be, doing the "will of the Father" is the main fervent desire of Jesus and His disciples! Their tearful prayer is that it's better to die rather than doing their "self-will" and losing their father's presence!!

When Jesus' soul was troubled, He didn't cry for His escape from that situation; Instead, He cried out, saying, "Father, glorify thy name!" (John 12: 27,28). So, He shed tears only for the fact that "the will of the Father" must be done and never shed tears for Himself! That is why when He saw women weeping for Him, He abruptly said, "Do not weep for me" (Luke 23:28). At the same time, He asked them, "Cry for yourself." Here again it is clear that He didn't tell the daughters of Jerusalem to weep for "self-pity." On the contrary, He showed the way of His 'Gethsemane experiences'... the way to pray and weep for the fulfillment of the Father's will in their lives and for the glorification of the Father's name!

Prayer:
Our Loving Father! You could see our tears and solve our heart's desire... Give us the grace not to shed tears for our 'self', but to do your will; In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ Not for the World, we must be crazy for Christ! 🔸️

Paul called himself "I am fool for Christ" (1 Corinthians 4:10). The title of 'fool of Christ' is far better than the title of 'Doctor' or 'Engineer' in this World. Yes, wherever Paul went, people called him by a title "madman" and ignored him. But that didn't discouraged him. Because, like his Master, he was already died to this World.

A brother who lived in a town used to hang Bible verses on the front and back of his robe in order to witness to his Lord. As a result, he became a ridiculed person in many parts of the city. A few years later, instead of Verses, he wrote in large letters on the front of his robe, "I am mad of Christ." At his backside, he wrote the text "for whom you are mad?" in large letters. Now, those who made fun of him, bowed their heads in shame for not being able to answer this question!!

Yes, if we do not want to be mad for Christ, then we'll be mad of the devil! Do you know this truth? Accepting the Cross means accepting "the position of dying to this World." Because of this, it's not a matter for us whether the World is praising or despising. "Lacking of this one thing" is the cause to lose the strength of today's youths in mass and unable them to do God's ministry mightily. We may have a lot of higher educational qualifications and a lot of gifts and talents. But “if this one thing is lacking”, all the qualifications that we have would be of no use to the service of the Lord!!

Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Thank you for having us as Your own; Let's not be crazy for this World, that separating us from You; be gracious upon us for we should not have any shortfall in this required area! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ The Cross that separating sin and the World! 🔸️

Only a few of us have a clear understanding of the "true purpose of carrying the Cross." But the majority among us compare the "burdens of life" to their Crosses. Still others see their "physical ailments" as Crosses. Still others simulate "his wife" who is not submissive, "their husbands who are unloving" or their "children" who are disobedient.

The meaning of the Cross is not in the gold dollar! The Cross is not in the inscriptions! .... Similarly, not all that people consider as of the above is the Cross! That is, the Cross that Jesus referred to as "let him take up his Cross", is none of these!

As churches today hold the Cross of Christ as a religious symbol, they have a false interpretation of ​​the Cross instead of what Jesus actually said on the Cross.

During the period when Jesus lived on this Earth, the Cross was considered "a weapon of death and a weapon of great shame"! If you had lived in Jerusalem in those days, when you saw a man carrying the Cross on that street, you would have known without doubt where he was going surrounded by Roman soldiers! Yes, he is going to the place of death! He is saying "goodbye" to all his relatives, friends and from sin and he is going on a path that would never come again!! He says "good-bye" to this world and is going to leave this World forever. He will never see any of the possessions he had in this World again! Not only that, but the way he leaves the World is a path of great contempt and shame. The death of the Cross is a death of open public disgrace! These include the Cross that Jesus once told a rich young man to follow! (Mark 10:17-22).

The 'meaning of following' is to follow Jesus' footsteps who walked on the roads of Jerusalem for crucifixion!

Prayer:
Our heavenly Father! May the "Cross" separates us permanently from sin and the World; may the "Cross" that gives us the Eternal life be the daily part of our lives! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ Don't forget the pit of our downfall to avoid getting pride! 🔸️

When Peter warned other Christians, he said, "Let us not forget that God has forgiven them for their former sinful lives." (2 Peter 1:9). On the contrary, he who forgets his previous status is 1) the one whose eyes are short-sighted. 2) Blind! He rebuked and warned. Thus I never wanted even a little to be short-sighted and "blinded". I want to be the one with the “long-term vision” of ever being able to see Heavenly treasures and Eternal values.

Who are the eye plugged short-sighted? Those who hold the Earthly things, the pleasures of sin, the economic possessions, and respect the recognition of humans in high esteem are the ones with the narrowest eyesight. May we feel sorry for such believers! If you see a man who is visually impaired and can't see anything beyond about 10 feet, you don't get angry at him! Instead, you will feel pity for him.

They have forgotten "that pit" from which God lifted them up! As a result, when God blesses them in some areas, they immediately get pride!

But I never want to forget the abyss where God lifted me up! I know that all my sins are washed away and God doesn't keep in remembrance even any one of them. As i am “justified by the blood of Christ” (Romans 5:9), i have the courage to stand before God, as if I have never sinned in the past life. Yes, God sees me in the same way too. However, I will never forget what I was like once upon a time! The Lord says to me, "I will remember your sins no more" (Heb 8:12). But, in order not to fall into the pit of pride, I am remembering my disgraceful of the past!

Prayer:
Our heavenly Father! The reason for our pride is that we have forgotten the pit where we fell! Thank You for making us to realize that! Give us the grace to live humbly before You every day! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ Father who loves us even in our failures! 🔸️

We want the Lord God looking us and to say, "My son, my daughter, I pray for you that you would never fall." But, it is a great surprise for us when we know that the Lord God is not praying such a prayer for us!!

If so, what did Jesus pray for Simon? Jesus did not pray that Peter would not fall due to temptation, but prayed that when Peter did fall, his faith in the perfect love of God would not left from him!(Luke 22:31,32). That is, even though Peter fell into the abyss of fall, he said, "God still loves me!" That is what Peter meant.

This is faith! Yes, this is the confession we should always have in our lips and in our hearts!! No matter how deep we sink and no matter how big the abyss we fall into, "God continues to love us as we are!" That is the motto of the confession!!

The prodigal Son had this confession. He believed deeply in his heart that even when he fell, his father still loved him. None of us would have had such a bad situation of eating “pig food” in the downfall. But, even when he reached the abyss of downfall, yet he wholeheartedly recalled that "My father still loves me!" Perhaps, if he had heard that his father was dead and that his older brother was then running the house, do you think he would have returned home? Of course he would never come back! Because he knew the character of his older brother!! So he would never have returned home. But he came back only because he knew his loving father was there!!

Prayer:
Dear Father! May we never tire of our fall; please be gracious on us to believe that You, the Father of love will accept us back! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ Must see God in our circumstances! 🔸️

As Paul said of Alexander the metal worker (Copper Smith), our Lord will reward our enemies according to their deeds! (2 Tim. 4:14). Therefore, it is safe for us to entrust such vengeful things to the Lord (Romans 12:19).

Yes, surrendering anything to God is the highest standard life. Because, He knows exactly what He is doing! "Everything" is subject to His authority! As a good sculptor, He is neatly carving the rock to shape Jesus in us. Since "certain parts" of the rock are hard, he has to use such false accusations and objections to carve them. Thus if we are submissive to His carving.... in the end, we can get the shape as Christ-like human beings and can receive spiritual authority!!

As Jesus clearly saw His Father's hand in every situation He faced, it was possible for Him to call Judas, who betrayed Him, as, "Friend!" Thus, if we too can see God's omnipotent rule in all our situations, it will be easier for us to humble ourselves in those situations!! Therefore, it will be very easy for God to lift us up at the right time!!

Yes, only God knows the time to “remove” the pressure that falls on our shoulders and the right time to “give” His power over the same shoulders. Thus no one who waits for the Lord is ever disappointed or ashamed! (Isaiah 49:23).

Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Give us the grace not to reflect ourselves in the circumstances of our life; give us the grace to believe your reigning and to keep quiet for your will be done in our life; In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

🔸️ The Bible should be the meditation to give us Strength! 🔸️

In Jeremiah 15:16 and 1Peter 2:3, we find the Scriptures are compared symbolically to 'food'. The Bible says that the prophet Ezekiel and the Apostle John "ate a book." (Ezek.3: 1-3; Rev.10: 9,10). Yes, God's people ate and digested God's Word.

Food gives us strength. So without food our body cannot be strengthened and be protected. A person who has weakness in body due to inadequate food will be incapable of resisting the disease. In the same way, one who ignores and neglects the Word of God would become immature in his spiritual life; for that reason he would be in a pitiful state of desperation to resist the temptations and unable to stand firm against the attacks of the devil!!

At the same time, you can't have strength just because you’ve read the Bible. Instead, you should read the Bible with desire then meditate it; allow those words to penetrate your heart and make those verses your own (Psalm 119:11).

When Job said this, he said excitedly, "Lord, I have treasured the words of your mouth more than my daily bread" (Job 23:12). One who has this kind of courage will be as courageous as Job in facing the deadly attacks of Satan. That is why Job never lost his faith in God, amidst his many trials! But because his wife did not have the same affection that her husband had for the Word of God, she blasphemed God the very next moment suffering happened. But Job was not like that.

Thus Job is a good example for all of us that we can bravely resist every temptation of life with the rewards we are getting on meditating God's Word daily!!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father! Your word is our spiritual food for our spiritual growth! Please be gracious on us to have Your verse become our daily meditation! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Knowing God

The greatest thing in the world is to know God. Because when we know God, we will know what to do in every situation that we face. We will also be bold to face life, even if the whole world is against us, because we know that we stand on firm ground. It takes time to know God, so it is good to start when you are young. In order to know God, you must be willing to consider everything in this world as rubbish, relatively. That means that the things that worldly people consider great must not only have no attraction for you, but seen as garbage! That is how it was for Paul (See Philippians 3:8).

If we pursue after money or pleasure or honour or greatness in this world, we will discover one day, in the clearer light of eternity, that our hands are filled with rubbish. We will discover then that we spent our earthly lives clinging on to rubbish, when God was all the time calling us to possess His riches. So be wise - and only use the things of earth (because we need them to live here) but never be taken up with any of them, lest you sell your birthright for a bowl of porridge.

“Praise God for His love, that shows us our true condition, so that we can rectify whatever is necessary, now itself."

If God sees that you are serious about your Christian life, He will shake all that can be shaken in your life, so that you are not deceived about your relationship with Him. He is jealous for your spirit. He wants you to know Him personally and not in a book (the Bible) or through another person.

Praise God for His love, that shows us our true condition, so that we can rectify whatever is necessary, now itself. It is not enough that we hate sin and keep ourselves pure. No. We must come into a deep personal relationship with the Lord Jesus. Otherwise all of our cleansing ourselves can become merely a 'Moral Self-Improvement Program'. To build a close relationship with the Lord, first of all, you must be very careful to keep your conscience clear, by mourning for, and confessing any known sin, as soon as you are aware of it. Then you must cultivate the habit of talking to the Lord often during the day. Thus alone will you be able to stand, when everything around you crumbles and falls one day.

This is my greatest longing - to know the Lord, for this alone is eternal life (John.17:3). It is this knowledge of the Lord alone that has helped me to stand undisturbed, and at rest, and above all, in love, when opposed and maligned by Christian groups and pastors, both in India and abroad. I long that you will know the Lord in the same way - and in an even better way than I have known Him.
