Hi, we’re Caleb and Taylor! We’re basically eating our way around the world—fueled by really good cocktails and way too much wine. Our mission? To find meals so good you’ll dream about them a year later… and to call out the ones that just aren’t worth your time (or your money 💸).

Think of us as your foodie detectives 🕵️‍♂️. We’re not locals—and that’s the point. We know how overwhelming it is to land in a new city with a million restaurant options and no clue which ones actually live up to the hype. So we do the deep-dive research (yes, even the sketchy forums in broken French) and turn it into cinematic food guides that show you exactly where to go, what to eat, and what to skip—sprinkled with laughs and probably too much bread. If that’s even possible...?

⭐ If you want the best local food (not just the Instagram-famous stuff) without spending hours planning every bite, welcome to our community!

🥨A Few Tips for Eating At Christmas Markets!!! 🍷

1️⃣Do NOT buy those huge heart-shaped gingerbread cookies you see everywhere. While it seems romantic, those are 100% for tourists and not made for eating. They are nasty and overpriced.

2️⃣Look for stalls with LINES. You will see so much food, but the food stalls that are the best will have people lining up.

3️⃣Look at the food in the stall before ordering to make sure it actually LOOKS GOOD.

4️⃣ Walk around the market entirely before just buying something to eat. Make sure you see what looks best before being hasty and wasting money and calories.

5️⃣ It’s important to note that most of the food is overpriced and NOT amazing quality. It’s fun to eat at the markets, but we recommend planning some meals at restaurants so you eat some real, quality food too!

This is mostly the case at the really big touristy markets...which we're not posting videos about as we prefer the more authentic, not touristy markets!!

If you haven't been to Georgia 🇬🇪....add it to your bucket list now!

We just wrapped up a MONTH in what we think might just be Europe's most underrated food and wine country!

Did you know it's the BIRTHPLACE of wine? We're talking 8000 YEARS of wine making! It also had some the best, most unique food we've tasted. And SO MUCH cheese and carbs. Honestly, we've never eaten so much cheese and bread in one month. 😅

The prices were also amazing and it might be one of the most diverse places, landscape-wise. You've got insane mountains! Forests! Beaches! Cities! There is something for everyone!

🥘 STANDOUT FOOD: While the khachapuri (cheese boat) is the most insta-famous, we both agreed that we loved Kubdari (a pocket of bread filled with heavily spiced meat) and beef kharcho - tender beef stewed in walnuts. The bronze medal goes to eggplant rolls, which may be the most garlicky thing we've ever put in our mouths.

😅 REAL LIFE MOMENT: Honestly... a ton due to a major language barrier (you'll see when we post the videos! But, the top contender is when we stayed in a rural guest house in the highest village in Europe (FREEZING cold) and there was no heat and no shower and the owners of the guest house were having a YELLING match all night. We say upstairs awkwardly, shivering and trying to drown them out with Netflix on our computer.

Also, the time that we got delayed to one of our dinners because we got stuck in a herd of cows crossing the road. There are literally cows EVERYWHERE - even wandering the highways.

Can't wait to share all the videos we made with you! You might get to see Caleb drinking wine out of a HORN.

✈️ WHERE TO NEXT: Spain!!!!!

Do you think you want to go to Georgia?

The Best Savory Food to Try at European Christmas Markets (In our opinion!))

Everyone talks about mulled wine and gingerbread… but let’s be real, the savory food is where Christmas markets shine. After eating through more than 50 markets, these were the standouts:

🔥 Kartoffelpuffer (Potato Pancakes)
Crispy, golden potato pancakes, traditionally topped with applesauce or sour cream, but we found them loaded with garlic mayo, cabbage, and bacon in Bratislava. Heaven.

🌭 Wurst (Sausages)
Bratwurst is everywhere, but don’t miss the local variations:

Thüringer Bratwurst (with marjoram + caraway)

Nürnbergers (3 little sausages stuffed in a bun. Iconic)

Currywurst (smothered in curry ketchup. Messy but fun)

🥘 Schupfnudeln
Chewy potato dumplings topped with sauerkraut and bacon. Sounds simple, but it warmed us up more than any mulled wine.

🧀 Käsespätzle
Germany’s mac & cheese. Egg noodles smothered in cheese and crispy onions. Add bacon if you can. Eat it hot before it clumps.

🥓 Schweinshaxe (Pork Knuckle)
A giant, crispy-skinned hunk of pork on the bone. Not cheap, but it’s worth it.

🐟 Flammlachs (Salmon Over Fire)
Fresh salmon roasted on planks over open flames. Smoky, juicy, and one of the healthiest things you’ll find at the markets.

🥖 Raclette
Melted cheese scraped onto baguette sandwiches. Ooey, gooey, and totally over the top.

💡 Our Tip: Don’t just grab the first pretzel or sausage you see!!! ❌ look for unique local specialties. In Poland, we loved Oscypek (smoked cheese with cranberry jam). In Slovakia, we devoured duck-stuffed crêpes. Fancy, we know.

🎄The Honest Truth About Christmas Markets 🎄

Thinking of planning a Christmas market trip? Here’s what we learned after visiting over 50 of them (yea, we're obsessed.)

✨ The Magic

Small-town markets = cozy, romantic, and full of charm.

Mulled wine in collectible mugs is a MUST (we came home with 20. No joke.)

You’ll find beautiful, hand-crafted gifts and ornaments you’ll treasure.

😬 The Reality Check

Big famous markets can be miserable. It's just wall-to-wall people and touristy vibes.

The food looks festive but is often overpriced and average quality.

Souvenirs are sometimes mass-produced instead of unique.

👉 Our tip: Skip the hype-y ones in places like Paris or Vienna and head for smaller German towns like Tübingen or Tallinn (we posted it earlier this week!) or, our most favorite, Riga (video coming soon!)

That’s where we found the real Christmas spirit.

Would you rather go big (bucket list cities) or keep it cozy in a small town?

Confession: We ALWAYS check out McDonald’s abroad for “research.” 🍟

We call it McExploration 😆 because the menu is always a little different in every country and we find it so fascinating. We had lavash wrapped burgers in Moldova, which was wild!

What’s the most surprising thing you’ve ever seen at a McDonald’s? We NEED to know!
