might not be a new animation 4 another week or two. i think i finally hit a wall because my motivation to animate has been on a decline LOL but i think a short break where i dont have to think about it might help me out
might not even be a noticeable absence given my upload schedule (or lack thereof) anyway but when im not working on something i stress myself out about what the next animation idea is gonna be so id like to focus on something else for a while without that in the back of my mind

edit: would u guys also want to see speedpaint shorts. i quite like making speedpaints but idk if people want 2 see them LOL

people keep comparing Desperate Measures to objectified and it makes me wince a little bit because i 100% see where theyre coming from but objectified is one of my least favourite pieces of osc media i've ever read LOL
People are allowed to like it obviously . enjoy whatever you want being an objectified fan isnt hurting anyone but i think the writing is really iffy and has a lot of glaring issues that kind of stop me from liking it personally

circled back around to the swap au idea i had a little while ago. I'm running off of very loose ideas and a less than ideal amount of sleep so forgive me if this doesn't 100% make sense:

Cyril lost everything a lot faster and a lot harder , the attack that killed Arlo extending to Cyril too (hence the crack) and was unable to retrieve any part of Arlo to recover them despite having the means to in this AU (in my mind you need a piece of the body for DNA to recover them and build them back up from)
He's incredibly bitter about having to host Desperate Measures. He's resentful of every contestant that mocks him by winning and every contestant that squanders the chances they're so incredibly lucky to have by losing. He hates having to help people bring back their loved ones when everyone he cared about is gone for good. He's constantly hanging by a thread and one bad thing away from losing his mind... more than he already has.

Desperate Measures I imagine would be a pretty hot topic among detectives just because I think it's such an enigma in the way it's so blatantly exploitative yet gets away with all its wrongdoings so easily.
Cameron wants to get the show taken down only because he believes that doing so will boost his reputation. There would be a LOT of reward and respect that would come from shutting that show down once and for all that Cameron wants to cash in on. He doesn't have any personal attachment to Cyril and hasn't ever lost anyone, he cannot relate to Cyril nor does he ever try to understand where he's coming from or what he's gone through. He's honestly just here to do a job.

Their dynamic would be so different because I think there'd be a really stark lack of playful teasing or banter coming from either side. Cyril is incredibly bitter and resentful and Cameron is apathetic and , honestly , bored. They'd fight just as much as they do in canon but I think it'd be a lot more heated than it usually is because there wouldn't be Cameron's playful attitude towards the situation to dial the intensity back at all

I've been imagining them a LOT to The Living Tombstone's "I can't fix you" and it's making me so ill. I want to do an animation without either of these two involved first just to give literally anyone else some attention too but theyre making me so so ill
