Let’s be real: we all have those stencil sets that we only use for backgrounds. But why stop there?!
I’m playing with the gorgeous new Flower Bed Layering Stencils from the Altenew February 2026 Collection, and I decided to make them do "double duty." I used the same set for the background AND the main floral focal point.
The best part? I totally ignored the "rules" for the Bonus Stencil (it’s meant for a stamp set) and used it solo. The result?

I have another card to share with you today using the Simon Says Stamp Feb 2026 card Kit! I love layers. And when I think of Tim Holtz, my brain always goes to torn paper—must be that distressed vibe, right? Today, I put together one of the block patterns and used torn bits of vellum and patterned paper layered over the rose gold mirror cardstock squares. I love the look, it's clean but messy! Spring has officially arrived in the craft room! 🌸 I just shared a new tutorial featuring the latest Waffle Flower Spring Time Release, and I am completely head-over-heels for these mini scenes.
We’re using the Postage Collage Die to create a tiny "Egg Hunt" world. I’ll show you how to perfectly layer the Egg Hunt Icons over the matching stencils for a really polished look.
