Scion tC2 (2011-2013) and tC2.5 (2014-2016) installs, part reviews, and DIY guides. I simply share my knowledge I gained while playing around on this car and my previous project car which was a turbo 2001 Corolla. I've also started adding computer and Windows Mixed Reality videos. This is my personal channel, so I may have other unrelated videos posted here.

A few weeks ago, we had to replace my driver's side axle because the CV joint was clicking when turning right. My friend Tobias was able to remove it without my help by using a cargo strap to put tension on the axle, then applied some force with a pry bar to pop it right out (as shown in the second picture). Refilling the transmission with Red Line gear oil was possible without a pump via a hose and funnel from above.

It's been a while since I've had any time to give the tC any TLC outside of maintenance, but here she is with a freshly re-wrapped hood and mirror caps. We went with a gloss black from KPFM this time. I'll redo the tentacles on the back another day, but the next priority is bringing her to the shop to diagnose some vibrations and noise I occasionally hear from under the car.

The old TeckWrap premium vinyl and overlaminate took a beating from the sun and engine heat, so I'm having it pulled off and re-wrapped at Anonymous Wraps (formerly Retro Graphics). Despite being all cracked in the middle, the old wrap came off in mostly one piece. I'm going to redo the tentacles (once I get the SVG design cleaned up), so they're coming off today while the heat is bearable. She looks weird without the vinyl.

I have to temporarily swap out my stiffer Torque Solution front motor mount for the OEM one because of some chassis vibrations around 2400-2900 RPMs that I'm still chasing down. That doesn't mean I didn't mod the OEM mount first. I designed a 95A TPU inserts to make it a little bit stiffer by restricting the excess movement.

Thank you for those who reached out to me, and let me know whenever the product links I have posted expire or change. If you ever see a dead link, just post a comment, and I'll try to find a new one and update it.

Together with Blair and Brandon, we're working out any kinks in the bumper clip design. I'm holding off on an install and review video for now, but initial tests look good. Pardon my dirty bumper as I have to squeeze what little free time I have to work on this, so no time for a proper cleaning. Once the final product is ready, I'll post a link.

I received one of three sets of prototype bumper clips to prevent the dreaded front bumper sag. As long as the rain holds off today, I'll try to film an install and review video.

I'm continuing to make good use of my spring compressor that I did a review for at https://youtu.be/r-n-mrxft6Q so that my friend Tobias can easily change out his struts.
