All of my life I've had questions that many pastors and spiritual leaders were unwilling to answer or simply just didn't know how to. It became my quest to find answers. Here’s the topics we will address:
1. Truth Revealed
2. Investigative Reporting
3. Uncovering Hidden Facts
4. Deep Dive into the Truth
5. Exposing Myths
6. Research and Discovery
7. Unearthing Conspiracies
8. Fact Finding
9. Truth Seeker
10. Unveiling the Unknown
There were so many questions that just meant the world to me. After returning from service more than 50 years ago I wanted to discover why I should believe in Jesus Christ instead of all the other religions that cover this globe. I invite you to ask questions so that we can together seek answers that aid us in this journey. In this journey I seek to use things that are common day experiences that we all have that can show us the way to understand God in this universe. Join us as we ask you to ask us questions and together we'll find His truth.
Unearthing The Truth
In the Christian Bible, the New Testament contains numerous references to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit plays a significant role in the teachings and writings of the New Testament. While there are many passages that mention the Holy Spirit, a few key books and passages have a particular focus on the Holy Spirit:
The Book of Acts: The Book of Acts is often referred to as the "Acts of the Apostles" and is filled with accounts of the early Christian church's experiences with the Holy Spirit. One of the most famous passages is Acts 2:1-4, which describes the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
Acts 2:1-4 (NIV): "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."
The Gospel of John: The Gospel of John contains several passages in which Jesus speaks about the Holy Spirit, promising the coming of the Advocate or Comforter. One of the notable passages is John 14:16-17.
John 14:16-17 (NIV): "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth."
The Epistles of Paul: The writings of the Apostle Paul in the New Testament often emphasize the role of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. Galatians 5:22-23 is a well-known passage that speaks of the fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV): "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
These are just a few examples, and there are many more references to the Holy Spirit throughout the New Testament. The Holy Spirit is a central aspect of Christian theology and the believer's relationship with God.
