The Shamisenists
リード三味線、ベース三味線、ドラムから成る東京を拠点とした日本のオルタナティブ・三味線・ロックバンド。
ロック、ファンク、パンク、メタル、ニューウェーブ、ブレイクビーツ、クラブ、ダンスミュージック等を、三味線と言う楽器の概念をも超えて、縦横無尽に演奏。

2018年 海外デビューを果たし、台湾でのツアーを2度成功させる。
2020年 バンド初のヨーロッパツアーを決行し、ロンドンではFM局への出演も果たす。
2021年 アメリカ・コロラド州・デンバーの音楽レーベル「COLOR RED（カラーレッド）」主催のオーディション「COLOR RED CHALLENGE ワールド デビュー オーディション」にて優勝。
2022年8月 フランス・ブルターニュで開催したラウド・ロックフェスティバル「Motocultor Festival」に出演。

The Shamisenists are a Japanese instrumental three-piece band comprising two shamisen (lead and bass) and drums. The band move from psychedelic rock to jazz and funk to fuzzy heavy metal inspired riffing to Indian scale and Japanese tunes with ease.

In 2018 the band toured twice in Taiwan.
In 2020 the band toured in the Britain
In 2021 the band participated in the 'COLOR RED CHALLENGE world debut audition' in Japan, winning top spot. The event was organized by the music label COLOR RED from Denver, U.S.A.
In 2022, they appeared at the Motocultor Festival in Brittany France on Aug 19th.
