Nobody on PC complains about digital games, digital games are the reason Steam is so popular. Digital games are comfort and people like to be comfortable… Streaming killed physical movies and music, digital games are just next in line. Sony wont lose money, if they do, they would never do this….

You need to understand that nothing will stop Sony to get rid of physical games, fans can complain and sign petitions but that wont help.
Sony loses 30% on each game due to retail margin, plus 10% on manufacturing, delivery, storage etc…
Sony and any other publisher lose 40% of revenue on physical games….
Digital games are 100% revenue for Sony…

No more physical games on disc after 2028. PS6 is reportedly pushed to november 2028 and will be digital only. Sony was planning this for year since disc games bring only 20% of revenue.
