Looking at this photo brings back so many memories. 🩷

This is me with my cousin many years ago.

Growing up in a Cypriot family, marriage was always something we talked about. I can still remember sitting together and wondering what our futures would look like, who we would marry, and when our lives would finally make sense.

What many people do not know is that my grandmother have intuitive gifts. She is 97 years old today. I was always fascinated by what she would say about destiny, relationships, and the future. Back then, I spent so much time searching for answers about love and wondering what was meant for me.

What I did not realise at the time was that the greatest transformation would not come from predicting my future. It would come from healing myself, building self-worth, and learning to trust my own path.

Today, I feel something I did not have back then: peace.🕊️

This weekend, I will be sharing more of my story, the lessons I learned along the way, and how I moved from fear, confusion, and uncertainty into self-love, trust and inner peace.

When this photo was taken, I was struggling with anxiety and stuck in a relationship I couldn’t seem to let go of.

Every time I tried to leave, the pain felt unbearable.

So I stayed.

I kept giving chances.
I kept believing things would change.

Looking back, I can see that I wasn’t just attached to a person.

Not everyone in your life is meant to stay close, and honestly… some people make that very clear if you pay attention.

It’s funny how certain “friends” can drain your energy, your time, and somehow even your bank account… yet suddenly forget their wallet when it’s time to buy you a coffee. That kind of imbalance speaks louder than words ever could.

At some point, you start noticing the pattern. Who shows up with the same energy they expect from you. Who only takes. Who only calls when it benefits them. And once you see it, you cannot unsee it.

Protecting your peace becomes less about cutting people off and more about choosing yourself with clarity. Your energy is not something to hand out to people who treat it like it has no value.

There is a quiet shift that happens when you stop overgiving. You become more selective. More grounded. More aware of what actually feels good and what simply feels familiar.

The right people will never feel uncomfortable around your boundaries. They will respect your time, your energy, and yes… even buy you that coffee without making it a whole situation.

Let go of the guilt. You are not losing anything real. You are simply making space for connections that feel equal, supportive, and easy.

And I truly believe I was guided to her.
My chocolate brown British Shorthair 😻

There is just something about cats that feels different. They don’t try to do anything, and yet they change the whole feeling of a home just by being there.✨

Mimi always seems to know where to be.
She’ll choose certain spots in the house, sit close when I need calm, and somehow make everything feel softer and more peaceful. Her purring has the most grounding effect, like the body can finally relax without thinking about it.🫶🏼

I really believe cats protect and balance the energy around us in their own quiet way.
They bring calm, harmony, and a sense of safety, and they teach us to slow down, rest, and trust our intuition a little more.

Mimi feels like comfort. She feels like peace.
She feels like home 🤎
