MENTOR ME! IS HERE AGAIN!!!

The Tyap Wikimedian User Group is excited to announce the kick-off of the first stream of the Mentor Me! program for 2026.

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to edit on Wikimedia sister-projects such as Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and others. Whether you are a complete beginner or just looking to improve, this program is for you.

Sessions will run online on Fridays at 07:00 PM (WAT) and in-person on Saturdays at 09:30 AM.

The in-person venue is AX1, Aliyu Makama Road, off Narayi Junction, Barnawa, Kaduna 800242, Nigeria.

🌍 Wiki Loves Africa 2026 is Here, and the Tyap Community is Leading the Charge!

Wiki Loves Africa is an annual campaign inviting Africans to show our culture to the world through photos, videos, and audio on Wikimedia Commons. And this year, the theme is Rites and Rituals.

Our African culture is rich, powerful, and deeply symbolic. Yet it remains one of the least documented cultures globally. This is why we need to tell our own stories, through our own lenses.

📸 What to do: Capture and upload moments that reflect African rites and rituals. It's simple, and anyone can participate!
