SP CITY AYAZ HUSSAIN TAKES IMMEDIATE ACTION FOR MOTHER & 2.5-MONTH-OLD BABY; FIR REGISTERED, ARRESTS MADE, RED WARRANT ISSUED

Islamabad:Responding to the public concern raised by senior journalist Mr. Faisal Tarar regarding a vulnerable mother and her infant sitting outside the National Press Club, SP City Ayaz Hussain took immediate notice and visit National Press Club. The victim is a 15-year-old girl from Muzaffargarh who was sexually assaulted last year while working as a domestic worker in Sawan Garden, Islamabad. For the past several days, she was compelled to sit outside the National Press Club with her 2.5-month-old son, "Subhan", due to extreme hardship, lack of shelter, food, and financial resources for baby formula.

Upon receiving the information, SP City Ayaz Hussain issued immediate directions to arrange emergency accommodation for the mother, infant, and family members in coordination with the Social Welfare Department. He further directed for the immediate provision of food, clean drinking water, medical examination for the infant, and baby formula/milk, along with ensuring prompt registration of FIR and expediting the arrest of all accused persons to secure justice for the victim.

In compliance with these directions, a case has been registered at Police Station Lohi Bher under relevant sections of law. Several suspects have been arrested by police teams, and a Red Warrant has been issued for the arrest of the main accused who has absconded to Dubai. Meanwhile, police teams reached the location, shifted the family to a safe place, and provided immediate medical aid and rations.

Speaking on the matter, SP City Ayaz Hussain stated, "Islamabad Police is fully committed to protecting the dignity, safety, and rights of women and children. No victim will be left unattended. We will ensure that justice is delivered in this case and all culprits are brought to book."
