We're Marcus Explains and we dig into businesses: the margins, the markups, and everything that never makes it into the brochure.

Every episode is researched and written from scratch. Most topics start as questions we couldn't find a straight answer.

How videos are made:
- Research & scripting — Written in-house. Researched, fact-checked, and locked before production starts.
- Visuals — Every image is generated with AI for this channel. No stock footage, no third-party clips, nothing repurposed.
- Narration — AI-assisted voice, reading scripts we wrote. Just being upfront about it.
- Editing — Edited by US in DaVinci Resolve.

Everything here was made and uploaded by us. New episodes weekly.

You pay one price for the room, food, drinks, and everything you're told is included.

But once you're inside, the resort starts offering things that cost extra.

Premium alcohol. Better restaurants. Private beaches. Spa treatments. Excursions. Room upgrades.

The resort isn't just making money from your all-inclusive package.

It's making money from everything you're tempted to add on.

Did you know?

McDonald's doesn't make its money the way most people think.

It sells burgers, fries, and drinks. But a major part of its business model is real estate.
McDonald's often controls the land or buildings used by its franchisees, then collects rent alongside franchise fees and royalties.

That means a restaurant can sell millions of burgers while McDonald's benefits from something much harder to copy: control of the location.

In other words, one of the world's most famous fast-food companies also built an enormous business around property.
