Get Outside
I'm posting something a bit different today. 2 videos. But, let me explain...
Video 1 - Lighthearted and filled with memories (for me anyway), but also to lighten the depth of Video 2 .
Video 2 - A video where I (uncomfortably) show my vulnerability and share with you where my drive for fishing comes from, and why I started this channel.
For whatever reason, I feel compelled to share this video. Throughout my life I've had the privilege (or curse) to learn unique perspectives to lessons that have radically shaped my being. And over the years, I've also recognised (with hindsight) how to learn and grow from such experiences. And the only true lesson that has resurfaced again and again is to NOT ignore my first instinct - and follow my gut. EVERY time I have ignored that inner voice - I seem to have copped another lesson to reinforce the one that I chose to ignore.
So, back to the video. For whatever reason feel compelled to post video 2 of 'Why I Fish". And "Why I Started This Channel". I'm done ignoring that little voice inside - and am prepared to put this video out to the universe.
Now, I know that to a lot of people - there is still a stigma and dark cloud around talking about mental health or struggling with things emotionally. Especially for men. I have seen first-hand so many of my friends (and acquaintances) clearly suffering soo much after Covid. But they chose to remain silent, and refuse to shake the demon off their back - figuratively speaking.
Anyway, by putting video 2 out there. I hope that I can help touch someone - needing that assurance that they're not alone. Maybe you know someone.
As much as this reason behind the channel has somewhat been lurking in the shadows - I am open to continue down that path - if you (my viewers) steer the channel in that direction by comments and dialogue (of wanting to talk more about mental / emotional health). Otherwise, that's ok. I'm comfortable with listening to my inner voice for guidance.
If you get something out of the videos - please let me know. Or in the very least, pass this on to someone who needs to hear it.
