I’m Allison: mama, basketball wife, part-time expat, relationship expert, content creator, and self-published author. Thanks to my husband’s basketball career, we’ve lived in 5 different countries and currently split our time between Japan and our hometown, Atlanta, Georgia.
My husband and I are college sweethearts. We welcomed our first little broke bestie, Harper, in July 2019, and being a mom has been my favorite adventure yet. Our son, Jaxson, joined the party in February 2022.
I have a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and specialize in couples’ communication and helping women to take control of their narratives to create the lives that they want. I love to share marriage and travel oriented content, and about all things motherhood.
I pride myself in being authentic in my journey and enjoy giving others a glimpse into our unique lifestyle as an African American family living abroad.

Are you a Pinterest mom who can do all the crafty cute things or just a regular mom? 😅

I shared BTS of a paid campaign with a brand last week in my vlog. I shared all about the pitch, the planning, the pivot (because of course there was one), and the pay. Did I miss anything? Do yall have other questions about brand sponsorships? Ask me anything!

I’ve gotten a few comments asking if I’m happy with my AirSculpt results now that the swelling has subsided. 100% YES!
My confidence is through the roof since having liposuction (and I was already a pretty confident woman).
My jean size has gone down from a 10 to a 6, and more importantly than any clothing size or number on the scale, I’m just super comfortable in my own skin now and I love that for me!
Let me know if you guys would like to hear more about my AirSculpt experience

We just used the Oh Crap potty training method for our son. The book says to have them sit to start, but my husband insisted he stand. What did yall do when potty training boys?

One day, you have a baby, and the next, you look up and that baby is a little person, living her own life. That’s how I feel about Harper. Over the course of the last couple of weeks, she has graduated pre-k and transitioned to her new school, where she will be starting kindergarten in August, for summer camp. To say that I’ve seen a change in her through this transition would be an understatement. She seems so much more grown up already, and I can only imagine what’s to come.
Harper had been looking forward to her “gradulation” (as she called it), since she saw some of her friends graduate preschool last year, and now that it was time for her to commemorate the first of many educational milestones, I wanted to make sure that she felt celebrated. In the latest vlog on my YouTube channel, I’m sharing her full graduation week, including a peek at the graduation itself, my husband’s surprise return, and the “Harper is One Smart Cookie” graduation party we hosted in her honor.
