If I were a wizard I could think of maybe several things to do, especially if my magic isn't dependent on a wand or stave. I'd have to figure out my limits and levels of course but it'd be chill as heck if I could do something like telekinesis or earthbending or psychoanalysis. Not reality-shifting powers, but ones where the worst that can happen won't screw things up beyond survivability for the species, that would suck hard.
