Only 2 events (both in Tokyo) this fall, since I'm busy with online sales and have a lot of travel plans. So I'll be really looking forward to these two!

Come hang out if you're in Tokyo! I'll have my original sketchbooks on display, and the newly-launched palette will be available in person too!

First batch of palette & sketchbook pre-orders have been sent out! If your order was shipped, you should have gotten an email!

This batch was mostly palettes, with only a few sketchbooks, so majority of the orders sent were palette-only ones. Next shipment will be a BIG one and will be going out in ~12 days!

On a related note, the EU tax policy is extremely confusing and seems to change every month for every country. JapanPost didn't have a straight answer for me except "each country has its own rules so we dunno".

If you're in EU and you're asked to pay unreasonably high customs + handling fees to get your package, 1) you can refuse to pay, and your package will be returned to me and I will refund you in full; 2) PLEASE let me know so I have some idea what's going on in EU and can warn people 😭

Sorry for the scary warning! I’m just frustrated after hours of research that didn’t go anywhere.

❓What about my Etsy shop?
My Etsy shop will remain open, and all open orders will still be shipped as scheduled. However, future pre-orders and restock notif will only be thru my website, due to Etsy's limited features.

As a general rule, buying directly from an artist's own website is the best way to support them, so they can avoid Etsy's exorbitant fees and lack of control over AI art and drop-shippers.

My Pinkoi and BASE shops will shut down over the next few days, because my new website has great support for customers in Asia! This will save me so much headache from updating listings on multiple platforms.

Exciting news ✨ Many of you asked if I'm bringing back the travel watercolor palette. I've actually been working on a special project! In collaboration with Natsume Handmade, one of my favorite sketchbook & art supply makers, I'll be launching an exclusive palette with an engraving of my art!

Please pick your favorite!
Winning design will launch in late July.

Note that the photos are rough prototypes on scrap material, and without oil finish. They'll look a lot better in the actual product! See the last 2 options for an example of what the finished product will look like.

I'm very excited because this version will use even higher-quality materials than the last ones I sold months ago, and with beautifully rounded edges too. Can't wait to start using it 😆

I'll also be launching some very pretty watercolor sketchbooks with this collection as well! Stay tuned for more sneak peeks.

I can't believe how fast my tiny little channel has grown since I started it 4 months ago, and how many amazing connections I've made through it. I've already met 3 lovely people who made time to visit my art booth on their Japan trip!

A few announcements - I finally got a booth for Tokyo Design Festa in May!!! I'm psyched there was a last minute cancellation and I get to exhibit at the biggest art market in Japan again. I have several shows in the next 2 months, so stop by if you're in the area!
