Hiya!

I have another YouTube Channel! It's a walking channel and it's my first video on it. This is a full tour of Osaka Comic Con, the first one ever in Osaka. Watch it with headphones for full stereo immersion.

Feedback in the video comments, likes and subscriptions are appreciated!

I am editing a vlog about it and will post that as soon as it's available on this channel.

I'm sure you've all seen the news by now.

Yesterday, at approximately 11:30 AM on July 8th 2022, Japan's former prime minister, Shinzo Abe was assassinated. It's one of the most shocking events in recent Japanese history. I'm still in disbelief.

Mr Abe was campaigning in the city of Nara, near Osaka, on behalf of a Liberal Democratic Party candidate in the lead up to the election. He was shot twice in the back by what appears to be a homemade gun.

Regardless of what your political affiliation or opinions are, he was murdered while simply doing his job. In fact, it didn't even have to be his job anymore since he was retired. At the end of the day, his family have lost a loved one.

Much has been made of the lack of security but from my understanding, political campaigning like this tends not to have much. The general public are free to meet and speak with politicians.

Gun violence in a country with strict gun control such as Japan is extremely minimal but does exist. Security are more concerned with knives which is why I'm surprised the assailant was able to approach so close. I'm hoping there will be an overhaul of security measures in light of this.

As Japan's longest serving PM, Mr Abe's legacy will have a lasting impact on the country.

I'm shocked and saddened by this senseless tragedy. My condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues.

THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

5,000 subscribers! Just, wow!

This milestone means so much to me since I haven't posted a full-length video in five months.

Being consistent on YouTube is the key to growth but doing it while working full-time is a real challenge. The dream is to be able to earn enough from YouTube to go full-time but it's a marathon, not a sprint.

YouTube wants you to post regularly at least weekly in order to grow. But a single video can take days to shoot and then days to edit. In the past, I've had nights where I'd edit until 3AM and get up three hours later to go to work. This time, I'm trying to find a balanced way to do it.

I'm working on some fun videos at the moment, so I'm hoping to get back to a regular posting schedule. See you there.

Thank you!

Hey everyone! I'll be visiting a Japanese knife shop this Sunday to pick up a new knife. I'll be filming the visit too.

I thought it might be cool if my subscribers wanted to ask questions about Japanese knives. Fire away down below and I'll try and include it in the video.

Cheers!

I'm excited to finally announce what I've been working on lately!

[bridging asia] is a YouTube channel partnership between Asahi Broadcasting Corporation and Peach Airlines. And I've been lucky enough to collaborate with them producing content on both of our channels!

The first videos of the series (yes, it's a series) is up on our channels. See what Osaka's Korea Town is like and the great food you can try with a ¥1,000 budget.

You can find the link for [bridging asia] and the collab video I produced for their channel linked in my video description.
