Surprisingly, on this channel I fly drones and talk about it.

(Classy intro so far isn't it? I've only got 1000 characters for this - how many have I got left?)
With drone tips, tricks, reviews, and light-hearted tutorials, I'll share what I've learnt to help YOU get the most out of the your drone. Occasionally I may also cover things like editing and stuff - I like to share what I've discovered, but I'm no expert!

🍾🍾🍾Amazing News for the UK Drone Hobby!🍾🍾🍾
It's been speculated about, but never confirmed officially by the CAA.... until now!
Long story short - with many DJI Mini drones the green flashing lights switch off when recording video. CAA said that you have to have green flashing lights when flying at night. Put a strobe on? It's considered payload and puts the drone straight into the legacy A3 subcategory which means that you have to fly >150m away from people and buildings.
(yes I know I have some earlier vids with strobes but that was before 2026 and watch the vid below, 'cos unofficially it's not the end of the world)
THIS HAS NOW OFFICIALLY BEEN SOLVED WITH THE CAA!
@Geeksvana is a bloody legend in the UK Drone community (and doubly so because he's a channel member!) - You no longer need a separate strobe on sub 250g drone or a C0/C1 UK0/UK1 as long as it has a green flashing light EVEN IF the lights switch off when recording.

Amazing representation from both for our hobby and without them we wouldn't have got the change in guidance from the CAA on the green flashing light issue!

Hey everyone - first vid of 2026 after getting over the lurgy!
This is quite a chilled out one, but just in case you haven't seen the notification, it would really do me a favour if you could watch all the way through and also hit like fairly early on - and who knows - you might even enjoy it! 😂
Seems that YouTube's notifications and algorithms are screwing quite a few long form creators over at the moment, and are prioritising shorts over long form content in a lot of people's feeds making videos like this harder to discover. I rarely watch shorts, but everything above the 'fold' in my YT homepage is all blimmin' shorts!
(and hitting 'See less of this' is effective for about all of 10 seconds before it reverts!)
When SO much work goes into longform videos, that's quite a kick in the teeth to be honest 🤬 (not saying that all shorts take any less work..... but erm.... nope nothing else to say there 🤣)
Anyway - rant over! - please enjoy this latest offering of 'barely acceptable content'..

Hi All - hope you had a good Christmas and New Year!
Sorry for the recent radio silence - besides being busy with real life stuff, I'm also recovering from a rarely heard of virus - I think it's called Coronavid 1980 or something 🤧😷. Apparently it was popular in the early 2020s...🤣
And yes - some of you do know already, but I've FINALLY got myself the Air 3S! I know - a few of you have been bugging me to get it, so there will be an Air3 on the second hand market soon! - email me if interested: amoktimeflies@gmail.com
Why now? Well mainly because of the change in the UK CAA rules that now allow us a lot more freedom to fly sub 900g drones over people and buildings rather than having to hang around like lonely idiots in a field! 🤣Can't wait till it warms up a bit to get some lovely sunset hyperlapses from my garden! The flight time and 1 inch sensor will make them flippin' awesome!
Hopefully the weather will improve over the next couple of weeks, as I have a few vids planned with stuff I'm excited to share with you. Usual sort of nonsense - a couple more Neo 2 Vids planned, a bit of Mini 5 Pro and also a few bits of general tips and tricks stuff which I'll be using the Air 3S for, but not specifically about that drone (oh go on then - perhaps an Air 3S night flight! 😉😂)
In the meantime, please enjoy these stills from my first 'garden' test flight with the Air 3S - the last one is a free panorama, so if you have the facility, it's worth opening up fully.
