I am 'into' Rocketry and Kite Flying, especially "Kite Aerial Photography", or "KAP".

October 10th, 2022 // Monday → I 'edited' my YT nickname to match other social media platform[s] I am on. "Allan" is my real first name.
October 14th, 2022 // Friday
→ I edited my nickname again to remove the "_2001." I did this just to shorten the name somewhat, AND to again match other social media platform[s].

And THAT is presuming YT actually showed me the CORRECT offending comment.

However, this follows at least three multi-day sessions of comments I posted under other people's videos DISAPPEARING as soon as I posted them.
I I have no idea if this follows YT switching to A.I. {whatever}, but clearly Google -- as a "computer company" -- has still got some way to go...🤦♂️

FWIW: It appears at least HALF of the comments I have posted under videos I have watched today, those comments DISAPPEARED after I posted them.
I have NOT gotten any kind of "Community Standards" violation warning at any time today, preventing me from posting comments.
UPDATE: As of yesterday afternoon {03 September 2024 // Tuesday} my comments APPEAR to be posting properly under other people's videos. I guess YT fixed the problem...which I find quite surprising, actually.

I watched two videos earlier today -- a livestream and a premiere -- and nothing I typed into the live chat on either got responded to by anyone else.
I also noticed when I tried to "remove" a mis-typed comment of mine in one chat the "Remove" icon would immediately disappear.
WTF...🤦♂️

This one is "Allan {a.k.a. RocKITEman}".
The other is now "Allan {a.k.a. RocKITEman_2001}."
That may make things MORE CONFUSING for everyone else, but to my ADHD-addled brain it is just about perfect...😉
