*A Day of Splendor and Athletic Prowess*
*Royal Group of schools Annual Sports Day,* a Celebration of Fortitude and Teamwork
The campus of Royal Vidyalaya CBSE and Royal public MHSS School was a dazzling spectacle, pulsating with the fervor and zeal of our much-anticipated 40th Annual Sports Day. This eagerly awaited event, held on September 12th, served as a profound affirmation of the competitive spirit, discipline, and sportsmanship that are integral to our school's ethos.
The day's proceedings commenced with an exceptional March Past, where the school's houses marched with exemplary precision and unwavering discipline. Following the solemn lighting of the ceremonial torch, the school captain led the athletic oath, a powerful pledge to uphold the values of fair play and honest competition.
The grounds subsequently came alive with a series of exhilarating contests. Students displayed remarkable dexterity in the long jump and high jump, while the tracks witnessed fiercely contested sprints and thrilling relay finals, in which every participant competed with unyielding determination. Our youngest students, the mini-champions from the KG classes, participated with unbridled exuberance in specially designed fun games, adding a charming dimension to the event.
A truly awe-inspiring exhibition was the Mass Drill, a meticulously choreographed performance by students from both Royal Vidyalaya and Royal Public MHSS. Their synchronized movements culminated in the formation of a striking 'ROYAL 40', a powerful symbol of unity and institutional pride that captivated the audience.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished luminaries, including the acclaimed International Athlete, Mr. Chandru of the Tamil Nadu Police; Chairman of the Yoga Group of Companies, Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram; and the Chief Executive Member of the Madurai Counsellor DMK, Mr. Jayaram. Their enlightening addresses profoundly influenced our students, underscoring the message that the ultimate triumph is forged not merely in victory, but in the effort, character, and discipline cultivated on the field. As famously stated, "The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital."

*Parents' Premier League* : *A Day of Unity at Royal Vidyalaya*
At Royal Vidyalaya, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom walls. This philosophy came to life during our annual Parents' Premier League (PPL), which was held on August 15, 2025. The event was designed to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship and strengthen the bond between our school and parent community. The day was a vibrant display of teamwork, joyful memories, and the simple truth that fun and fitness have no age limit.
The day's festivities were officially opened by our esteemed leaders: National Awardee Adv. Dr. Rajaram, our Correspondent Mrs. Shakila Devi Rajaram, Director Adv. Kevin Kumar Rajaram, and Mrs. Sandhya Kevin Kumar. Their presence and passion set an inspiring tone for the events that followed.
*The Games Begin*
Parents were divided into four spirited teams, each named after a historic South Indian dynasty:
Cheran - Green
Cholan - Yellow
Pandyan - Blue
Pallavan - Red
The atmosphere was electric as both parents and teachers, all in their team colors, took to the fields. The gentlemen showcased their skills in an intense game of cricket, while the ladies demonstrated remarkable teamwork and strategy in a thrilling handball match. Our Director, Adv. Kevin Kumar Rajaram, provided an exemplary running commentary that kept everyone's energy levels high.
*Honoring the Champions*
As the day concluded, we celebrated the winners of this friendly competition. The winning teams received prestigious shields and cups, presented by our distinguished guests, including Mr. and Mrs. Prem Kumar and Mrs. Deepika Prem Kumar.
*In cricket, the Pallavan team took home the first-place prize, with the Pandyan team finishing a close second.*
*In handball, the Cheran team emerged as champions,* *with the Pandyan team once again securing a commendable second place.*
Individual players were also recognized for their outstanding performance in both sports.
This event was a powerful reminder of how a school and its parent community can come together as one family. It was a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a shared sense of belonging. *This fantastic initiative, championed by our Director, Adv. Kevin Kumar Rajaram,* has undoubtedly laid the foundation for even stronger relationships within our Royal Vidyalaya family. The memories of this special day will be cherished forever by everyone who was a part of it
