When you finally get everything you once thought you wanted, you realize something surprising: the deepest fulfillment doesn’t come from the getting.

It comes from the giving.

Getting things is fun. It’s exciting for a moment. But the feeling fades.
I remember how long it took me to buy my first Louis Vuitton. Now I’ve owned three. They’re beautiful, but they don’t thrill me the way they once did. Desire just moves the finish line. So you set your sights on the next thing. A Birkin. Another milestone. Another “once I have this.”

But even that doesn’t satisfy the way we expect it to.
That’s why I’ve never fully understood people in business or ministry who have achieved everything, yet hoard opportunities, knowledge, or resources. The joy they’re searching for isn’t in protecting what they’ve built. It’s in imparting it.

The happiest, most alive people I know are the ones who pour into the next generation. They share what they’ve learned. They open doors. They give freely of their time, wisdom, and resources.
Because giving lasts longer than getting.
The thrill of acquisition fades.
But the fulfillment of contribution stays.

That’s one of the reasons I’m building Forward Life Network.
I grew tired of helping build empires for people who hoarded opportunities instead of paying them forward. I feel deeply for my generation and for those younger than me.

Too many people are shut out, overlooked, or made to feel like access to wisdom and opportunity is something to be guarded instead of shared.

I’m not an expert. I’m simply trying to use what I do know, what I’ve lived, and what I’ve learned to support younger people. To encourage them.
I haven’t loved what I’ve seen in other people.

But I saw something different modeled in my dad. He gave his time freely. He mentored people without fear. He wasn’t intimidated by younger voices rising up. He believed helping others succeed didn’t diminish him. He tried to pay everything forward.

If I can help someone avoid unnecessary pain, shorten their learning curve, or feel less alone in their journey, then it’s worth it to me. That’s the kind of legacy that matters. And that’s the heart behind Forward Life Network.
