Alright ladies and gentlemen. I know we have been pretty quiet on the page as far as the last deployment goes. And that was specifically because of the confusion and changing forecast.

Using this GIF that ‪@AidanO_Wx‬ made, I want to show you that we didn’t mess the deployment up. We deployed in the proper amount of time and posted up in Atlanta in order to be able to set these cameras up in a correct location ahead of time.

What you have to understand is, we have to set up and maintain a Forward Operating Base and get the cameras in position 3 days ahead of a scheduled landfall. So we were there, we did everything correctly on our end. However, it just did not pan out and on the last couple days the storm took a turn out to sea. You can see the cones in the attached GIF and fully understand our thoughts and mind set, and see the change of where the deployment did not go well for the cameras.

So we are all back home now. Regrouping and replanning for any future deployments. The time will come. It’s inevitable. And we will be there for it. So standby! ‪@StormChaserVince‬ ‪@radaromega_wx‬ www.wxeye.org/

These are numerous different model runs, all from today. As you can see all of them except 1 show a direct impact with anywhere from Catagory 1 to Catagory 2 hurricane strengths.

The 1 model that doesn’t show a direct land fall, shows this system getting close enough to the coast to cause major flooding issues and stalling there. Then slowly pulling away.

Probabilities as of right now are 90% development in 7 days and 80% development in 2 days.

We are finishing up a couple things and will be on the road within the next 1.5 hours. Live streams will be scheduled and posted over the weekend!

🚨🚨🚨
Still a few discrepancies on where Invest 94L (soon to be Imelda) is going to go. But most current tracks have it making an East Coast landfall as of this morning.

We will be deploying within the next 24-36 hours to head to the coast and prepare the Project Weather Eye cameras.

Live streams will be up later this weekend and for landfall! #hurricaneseason #hurricanes #weather #stormchasing

Not entirely discounting a chase tomorrow. Especially if this upgrades like there are rumors of. I’m not certain yet though.

The thing you’re trying to accomplish isn’t going to be easy. It’s going to take steps.

Many steps; day after day, week after week, month after month. TAKE. THE. STEPS.

The NHC has raised the development chances up to 40% over the next 7 days.

We now have something else to watch for. A tropical wave is about emerge off of the west coast of Africa. Environmental conditions are conducive for slow development of this system while it moves westward to west-northwestward at around 15 mph across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic this week.

Today, we made a huge career move that will allow us to chase these beautiful storms more than we have been able to. I still wouldn’t consider it a full time chasing gig, but it’s very close to being such. We will definitely have our hands more in the mix than we have in the past.
