I’m finally out of my reading slump that I’ve been in all year!! But now I do have a lot of work to do to catch up to my reading goal😭 please let me know any book recs you might have :) also working on a reading vlog❤️

Book Club Highlights: ✨ My book club is on the Fable app, you can find it if you search "Aika's Book Club" or here: fable.co/club/aikas-book-club-with-aika-takanashi-197669718069?club_type=free ✨ The book club is FREE and anyone can join! I wanted to have a fun space for readers who love romance and/or fantasy to read and talk about books together ✨ We'll read one book a month and at the end of each month, we'll do a poll and decide what book we want to read next ✨ Our first read is The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon, it's an enemies to lovers fantasy book set in a Southeast Asian inspired world. We'll be starting the first book on August 2nd but you can join any time! ✨ There's a regular club lobby where everyone can chat, a general book chat for our current read, and the rest of the chats/discussions are separated by chapters so no one will get spoiled if they're behind ✨ If you read the ebook on Fable, you can share your annotations with the rest of the club so other club members can see what everyone else highlighted or commented on (like a comment section for the book!)

In this vlog, come with me to finish my finals, go to The Ripped Bodice LA, and go to Candy Cane Lane! The store is adorable and they had so many fun and cool bookish things. I'll definitely be going back there to shop and whenever they have events.
I had another vlog that I was almost done editing but it somehow got deleted, I'm so sad that I can't post it. But I am in the middle of filming a reading vlog right now, and I also have some videos planned out! Hope you like this vlog :)
Also wanted to do a little reading update: I finished Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros and I am absolutely not okay. That ending really messed me up and waiting for the next book is going to be torture! I also finished A Curse For True Love by Stephanie Garber right before that so you can just imagine how bad the book hangover is with IF and OUABH combined. I can't believe I won't be able to read more about Jacks and Evangeline </3
I'm currently reading Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco, the last book of the Kingdom of the Wicked series and I'm planning on reading The Hurricane Wars by Thea Guanzon next!
Hello :) Just posted two videos that kind of goes hand in hand; my October Reading Wrap Up and also my TBR for the rest of the year! I'm a little late to uploading them but better late than never right? I have some great fantasy romance recommendations in those videos (lots of enemies to lovers🤭) and I'll probably have more soon since all I've been in the mood to read lately are fantasy books. I had a very good reading month in October (I can't believe I managed to read 10 books with school and work) and I want to read 10 books before 2024 which I'll hopefully be able to do. Hope you like the new videos 🫶
