What does the name mean? Well, "Day Hiker" is obvious, and "From the Six" is local slang meaning "from Toronto". We got into hiking, RVs, and outdoor pursuits as an escape from the bustle of the big city, so we're Day Hiker From the Six!

About a month ago, we did a poll asking folks what non-walkthrough video they'd like to see the most, and the clear winner was our favourite RV destination in North America. The good news is, we've already made that video....our favourite NA RV destination is the Vancouver to Calgary route through several of Canada's most beautiful mountain ranges. If you haven't checked this video out already, please do, especially if you've ever thought about travelling in Western Canada. In my humble opinion, it's the best video we've made to date! 😊

Here’s another round of pictures from my RV travel vlog & guide documenting my trip through Western Canada's mountains. The video launches at 2PM this Saturday Dec 7th! My trip started in Vancouver, British Columbia and wrapped up in Calgary Alberta. Today’s pictures come from a hidden gem I discovered just East of Vancouver: Chilliwack Lake Park. I chose it for its proximity to Escape trailers and its incredible hikes, but I was blown away by the campground's natural beauty and very well-kept campsites! I'm super excited to announce that the travel vlog & guide from my RV trip through Western Canada's mountains will launch this Saturday (Dec 7) at 2PM Eastern Time. All I can say about the route from Vancouver, British Columbia to Calgary Alberta is WOW. This has been the hardest video I've ever made, and I've taken my time in an attempt to do these incredible places justice. Every day this week, I'm going to post a few photos from the trip. Today, I'm starting with the Ford F350/Northern Lite Sportsman combo that was my home for this incredible week.

Join me tomorrow at 3PM ET I walkthrough perhaps the most unique small camper I've ever seen, the Taxa Outdoors Cricket X. For folks used to conventional RV's, they may have a visceral reaction when they first see this trailer and it's NASA-inspired functional design. But I encourage you to come in with an open mind, think about how you actually camp, and then see if the uncompromising design would actually be perfect for your next weekend warrior trip. I'm really looking forward to seeing your comments and opinions on this one!
