On behalf of the entire worldwide mission of Jagadguru Kripalu Yog and the Jagadguru Kripalu University, we offer our deepest gratitude to Smt. Droupadi Murmu, Hon’ble President of India, for graciously inaugurating Jagadguru Kripalu University and blessing this historic occasion with her esteemed presence. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha; Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha; Shri Suryabanshi Suraj, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education of Odisha; and all the distinguished dignitaries who honoured the occasion with their presence and encouragement.
The distinguished dignitaries were warmly received at the University Administrative Building by Swami Mukundananda, Founder and Chairman of Jagadguru Kripalu University.

The university is situated in Banara Panchayat of Cuttack District.

The Hon’ble President formally inaugurated the campus by cutting the ceremonial ribbon at the Admin Building and unveiling the commemorative inaugural plaque.
The dignitaries then joined the members of the Jagadguru Kripalu University Board for a commemorative group photograph, capturing this landmark moment in the institution’s history.
In keeping with the Indian tradition of nurturing nature, the Hon’ble President, together with the Governor, the Chief Minister, and Swami Mukundananda, planted a sacred Peepal sapling, symbolizing growth, wisdom, and the flourishing future of the institution.
The inaugural ceremonies continued with the offering of floral tributes at the statue of Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj, paying tribute to the visionary spiritual master whose inspiration gave birth to the university.
Following these ceremonies, the dignitaries proceeded to the main auditorium, where thousands of attendees, including distinguished guests, public representatives, academicians and devotees, had assembled with great enthusiasm to witness this historic occasion.
The formal function commenced with the Master of Ceremonies welcoming the Hon’ble President, the Hon’ble Governor, the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Swami Mukundananda, and the other dignitaries to the dais. The entire gathering then rose in unison for the rendition of the National Song and the National Anthem, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp (Dweep Prajwallan).
Swami Mukundananda then delivered the inaugural address, presenting the vision and mission of Jagadguru Kripalu University. Following his address, Swami Mukundananda presented commemorative mementos to the Hon’ble President of India, the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, and the other distinguished dignitaries. Each dignitary was presented with a beautifully crafted idol of the Trimurti: Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, along with a specially minted commemorative coin featuring the iconic Jagadguru Kripalu University building on one side and Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj, Founder Acharya on the other. These commemorative gifts symbolized the university’s deep roots in Odisha’s sacred cultural heritage and its enduring commitment to preserving India’s timeless spiritual traditions while advancing excellence in higher education.
The gathering was subsequently addressed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, followed by the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, described the inauguration of Jagadguru Kripalu University as the beginning of a transformative journey for higher education in Odisha. He noted that the university would serve as a world-class centre for learning, research, innovation, and character-building, integrating modern disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Healthcare Sciences, and Business Management with India’s timeless spiritual values. Reaffirming the Government of Odisha’s commitment to quality education and skill development, he assured the university of the State Government’s continued support in its journey to nurture future-ready youth and contribute to the vision of a prosperous and developed Odisha.
The Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, observed that Jagadguru Kripalu University embodies a vision of education that goes beyond degrees and careers. He remarked that true education must cultivate wisdom, integrity, compassion, and a spirit of selfless service alongside academic excellence. Paying tribute to Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj and appreciating the efforts of Swami Mukundananda, the Governor said that the university would harmoniously blend India’s spiritual heritage with modern education, research, and innovation, preparing future leaders committed to the service of society and the nation.
The ceremony culminated with the inspiring keynote address of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, who expressed confidence that Jagadguru Kripalu University would integrate India’s ancient cultural and spiritual heritage with modern education and emerge as a powerful institution dedicated to the service of society and the nation. She emphasized that education is the foundation of character building and nation-building, and urged universities to nurture youth with knowledge, values, integrity, and compassion. Appreciating JKU’s vision of promoting research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and holistic development, she conveyed her best wishes for the university to become a leading centre of excellence contributing to Viksit Odisha and Viksit Bharat.
The historic inauguration concluded with the audience once again standing together for the rendition of the National Song and the National Anthem.
We express our sincere appreciation to the Government of Odisha, the district administration, the police and security personnel, volunteers, and every individual who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the seamless planning and successful execution of this historic inauguration.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the thousands of devotees and guests who travelled from near and far to be a part of this momentous occasion. Your enthusiastic participation, warmth, and support transformed this inauguration into a truly memorable celebration.
