If you didn't already see it, please make sure to check out my latest video... Filmed in the far south of China, I walk through a former post-Opium War territory concession that was given to the British and French while I talk about the crazy history that led to situation and how the Chinese finally took their territory back! My latest video is an inside look at a massive urban village in southern China. 100,000 people are packed into a dark, dilapidated 1 sq km cluster of buildings and alleyways. Back here you'll find everything from schools to ancestral halls to brothels to salons to clinics to supermarkets to restaurants - and everything in between! This particular village is called Shipai Village and it's located in Guangzhou City, China. https://youtu.be/KEsnU9RZwAs

New video uploaded! This one has a whole heap of Americana in it! In this video, we trace the footsteps to the places that Hank Williams last visited before and leading up to his death. He died in the little Appalachian town of Oak Hill, WV in 1953. He was only 29 years old. Link to video: https://youtu.be/R0vqL0m_av0

Hey guys - another installation of the Great Appalachian Tour has been uploaded and in this episode we visit a little place called Glen Jean, West Virginia. This town was founded by the same fellow who opened the Dunglen Hotel in Thurmond and was largely responsible for turning it into a lawless vice-ridden town. Glen Jean and Thurmond have a deep connection, but while many people are familiar with Thurmond, very few are familiar with Glen Jean. Hope you guys enjoy the show! https://youtu.be/dH6i-YDQcj8

Hey guys, the latest chapter in my Great Appalachian Tour is ready for your viewing pleasure. In this video, we visit one of Appalachia's most notorious towns: THURMOND, West Virginia. It was right up there with Keystone in terms of the vices it offered... saloons, brothels, gambling dens... Shootouts were common there back in the day. This place is REMOTE, tucked way back in the hills, sitting right on the banks of the might New River. You're not gonna want to miss this video! https://youtu.be/2_8THf8eXSQ

Hey everybody, during my Appalachian Tour I thought since I was in the neighborhood I'd go check out where the Whittaker family was from (Odd, West Virginia). The title is just in jest - as you'll hear me talk about in the video - I was not actually trying to "find them" but was just curious what Odd was like. Hope you all enjoy the vid! https://youtu.be/YmMtv4Dp2fY

Hey guys! The Great Appalachian Tour continues! In this episode we visit Mullens, West Virginia - a small place who has left a big mark on the sports world. But in this video we walk the streets of Mullens, talk about its rise, its fall, and where it stands today. And if you've been following this series you'll notice that the intro clip for my West Virginia videos was filmed right here in Mullens at the overlook - which we visit in this video! Enjoy!
