I am based in East Asia and have spent nearly 15 years in the region. The majority of my time was spent in China but I'm very familiar with the entire region. My latest video is from my trip to visit the 'Monster Building' in Hong Kong. This place is well-known due to its imposing and dystopian appearance. Even film directors have taken note of the place - it was seen in one of the Transformers movies (starring Mark Wahlberg). Built in the 1960s to house those who were at a financial disadvantage (immigrants into Hong Kong, people from the mainland fleeing the Chinese Civil War, etc) the building(s) still stand today and the place is super interesting.
