Our hosts return to the podcave and are joined by the one and only Paul Dini to review the episode, THE MAN WHO KILLED BATMAN.
Paul reflects on the making of the episode and shares many behind the scenes stories, including how the Simpson’s inspired the writing of this episode, where the name Sid the Squid comes from, and why his car ride home on the day of the recording was memorable.

Joining him to review this episode is Director Kevin Altieri and the co-founder of the @dcauwatchtower James Strecker.
Kevin Altieri shares all the behind the scenes facts about the making of this episode. The struggles he had with the animators, the story changes that were made, the inspirations he took as the Director, and who Alfred’s girlfriend Maggie is based on.
Then, Alex and James review this episode and James specifically recalls watching this episode a lot as a kid on his Poison Ivy VHS collection. They also chat about Alfred’s tuxedo suit armoury, Poison Ivy’s 15 foot curtain rope, and how Alfred decorated the entire Batcave with plants.
