Why the change?
Well, a few people reached out asking for a little more time to polish their tracks… and honestly, I think that’s a great idea. This gives you a couple of extra days to tweak, mix, or even finish something fresh to share. So...

The one thing I get asked for every day (at least 20 times) is for track feedback.

The trouble is - sometimes just typing feedback about a stereo file is pretty limited - compared to actually opening up a project file - and talking through it whilst making the suggested changes.

(Funnily enough, that's what we do on the 1-on-1 calls in our Accelerator program).

With that in mind, I will be inviting people on my email list to join me on Wednesday (16th April) for the THIRD EVER EDM Tips Track Clinic - where I'll be opening up some of your project files and making suggestions on how to improve them.

🤔 So, I just started using Serum 2, and - I can get way better results, way quicker than using Ableton's synths (they are great, but it means more layering and routing shenanigans to get comparable results).

I was honoured to open the Miami Winter Music Conference for ‪@UMFTV‬ last week.

About halfway through my Keynote, I said “you are all doing the right thing by being here - getting out to conferences and networking”, which got a big cheer and clap.

And I realised - EVERY time I’ve made the effort to get to a music production conference - it’s ended up paying off:

👉 I’ve met some of my favourite producers and got production advice from them. Years later I’ve been able to have a few beers with them, produce with them and even interview them on my channel.

👉 I got years of paid repeat work mixing and mastering for a record label from meeting the CEO at a conference.

👉 I got asked to speak at music production conferences after meeting people there on previous years.

Plus many, many more opportunities…

It may not pay off straight away - sometimes it might take a couple of years later - but these personal connections are what the music industry is built on.

And it’s just great fun to meet other people just like you on the same journey.

Anyway…that’s all. Thanks to everyone who came to my presentation and it was great to meet you!
