L I F E U P D A T E Learning self love has been wild over the last year-ish. I know I keep saying a life update video is coming and IT IS but I’m really struggling with editing because it’s a little emotional/intense. I’ll just cut to it here because what better time than love week to announce that I’m single!
Making the decision to get a divorce was not easy for me and carrying out that decision was even harder. I definitely hit my lowest lows and wouldn’t wish that feeling or experience on anyone ever. Even putting it out to everyone here feels weird with my account being public (and I know some IRL people follow me here) but I really feel the need to because it as huge part of my life that I’ve not been able to share which makes me feel disconnected from my friends here.
I rely a lot on this account to keep myself accountable with my goals and I’ve felt like it’s impossible to post very much without sharing this huge change in my life. So many of you have asked about my marriage and checked in on me and I’m so appreciative of you for that 💗 and thank you for respecting my privacy and giving me time I needed to process some things. Lots of healing has happened since things were final in September but there’s so much more to heal. It’s all a journey! Part of the glow up for sure and a whole new era for me 💗 I love sharing my day to day life with you all and I hope this clears some things up and makes it easier for me to be open/active on my accounts again!
When I started YouTube about 6 years ago it was a way for me to share makeup tips and favorites, have some sort of hobby, and make friends online. I’d just gone through some tough things and could have never imagined the struggles that were on the way and things I’m going through now. I also never imagined I’d have such an awesome, supportive, and loving community surrounding me. Y’all know I’ve got a big wonderful friend group in person and they’ve been there for me through every single thing but my YouTube family has too and I don’t get to thank you guys as often.
These are just some of the hundreds of uplifting comments many of you have left (not even counting the direct messages or comments on other platforms) and I just want to say that some may slip through without a response but I read every single one and they mean more than you know. On more than one occasion I’ve wept while reading your comments and messages. When I get down sometimes I re-read them and I feel hopeful and strong.
I’ve been pretty open about my mental health online because I feel it’s important but it is scary and vulnerable. Every time I’m met with nothing but support and gratitude from you. Lots of you have followed me for years and literally watched me grow up. You’ve seen me do and go through so much. I’m feeling some type of way about turning 25 in a week. It’s a bit of a quarter life crisis + I’m starting a whole new chapter and my life looks so different from how it did even one year ago.
I’m so thankful to have this online community cheering me on and I can’t wait to share my ups and downs with you even more as I enter the…..late twenties range LOL sounds scary but I feel fairly prepared and heavily supported by all the good people in my life including you all.
