If you’re lifting the same weight, doing the same reps, and not pushing yourself, your progress will stall. Here’s how to level up your training:
1 – Increase Weight Over Time
If you can hit the top rep range easily, add more weight.
2 – Increase Reps or Sets
Instead of rushing to increase weight, aim for more reps/sets first.
3 – Improve Form & Full Range of Motion
Partial reps = partial gains. Use a full range to maximize muscle activation.
4 – Increase Time Under Tension
Slowing down the eccentric (lowering phase) increases muscle breakdown.
5 – Reduce Rest Time
Shorter rests = more total volume. Keep it around 45-90 seconds for hypertrophy.
