The National Financial Ombud Scheme South Africa (NFO) provides fair, free and impartial dispute resolution services for financial services customers who have a complaint against a financial services provider. The NFO consists of four specialist divisions: Banking, Credit, Life Insurance and Non-life Insurance, and was formed in 2024 through the amalgamation of four legacy ombud schemes. We are one of the largest recognised financial services industry ombud schemes in the world.
