Lewis Noble has lived and worked in Derbyshire since 1996. His focus lies in the physical and emotional impact of the landscape on the senses and the effect this experience has on us.
His paintings are more than snapshots or photographic frozen moments but through repeated layering and eroding of the painted surface, they contain all of the time it takes to make them.
The result is a body of work that speaks to the heart of what it means to be part of the environment.

I’ve been posting one new painting each day on my website lewisnoble.co.uk/paintings throughout December for sale in support of The Trussell Trust, a food bank charity here in the UK. They do great work and it’s especially hard to think that people struggle to feed their families at this time of year. £100 per sale goes to @TrussellUK
