The birth place of Isar Pyrolysis (formerly WasteEx).
A startup based in Munich Germany building small scale plastic waste pyrolysis systems.
On the channel HazelChem co-founder Elias Hasel is exploring chemistry and plastic pyrolysis since 2016. This engagement over the time lead to the founding of Isar Pyrolysis with Marc Xia. Together we aim tackle the plastic waste disaster in the global south.
We offer a system that works without external infrastructure and can be easily transported.
If you are interested in the system, contact us via: contact@isar-pyro.com

On the channel, we will document the journey of our startup. And also post interesting chemistry content!

Hello you all
I have some exciting news to share with you about my startup, WasteEx. As you may know, WasteEx was founded after my partner and I won the Idea Award of the Technical University of Munich. We were thrilled to win the award with our pyrolysis prototypes, which are designed to turn plastic waste into fuel.
Since then, we have been hard at work turning those prototypes into a fully modular system. Our goal is to create a sustainable solution for plastic waste management that not only reduces waste but also produces valuable resources, such as fuel.
With the launch of our new website, we are excited to share our progress with you and provide more information about our pyrolysis system. We believe that our technology has the potential to make a significant impact on the environment and help businesses and individuals reduce local plastic waste problems.
On our website wasteex.de you can now sign up to a waiting list for a pyrolysis system!
Thank you for all your support, without you and the community we wouldn’t have come so far!

UPDATE:
I am currently putting the team together for building a improved reactor with the mechanical engineering department of my university.
The next video will therefore be my last pyrolysis video spoken by myself and not the robotic voice. When the work on the system has started I will keep you all updated.

UPDATE PYROLYSIS REACTOR
Hey you all. I have wonderful news. The chair of mechanical engineering, at my university, will help me further develop the pyrolysis reactor. We are planning a modular reactor system which is easy to refit for different areas and feeds. I will keep you updated.

The things you find in an anorganic lab ^^
I had the amazing opportunity to learn working under Schlenk conditions at the AC faculty of my university (although I am only in second semester). Anyway while working in the lab where they mostly research MOFs and metal organic compounds I stumbled over the packaging of a voile … and it was too hilarious to not show you.

Hey you all! I have 5 more weeks of heavy studying in front of me... but afterwards be prepared for new contend!
I might even have access to a mass spectrometer and a 1H-NMR to analyse the the pyrolytic oil and make a video on its composition.

Hey you all! I am sorry for the long contend drought… but for the last four weeks I have been in the hospital. And at current state it will take me at least 6 more weeks to get better.
I want to thank all of you for the comments, feedback and positive messages you leave under my videos! They really help me keep going on.

hey you all!
As many of you may have noticed YouTube is quite aggressively pushing for more during the videos. I personally think that ads during a video destroy the experience of watching it. Further more advertisement in the middle of something I like just does not feel right to me! So you all will be spared from this unpleasant change in policy.
I hope you enjoy the videos and that I can fascinate some of you for the incredible world of chemistry.

ps: the other hand you are seeing is my friend EDTA. We spent a week in the lab so stay tuned for new videos :D

Hey you all!
with a great majority you have voted for a lab tour video. So I wanted to let you know that I am already (around) 70% done with it :D stay tuned.
