India's domestic electric vehicle (EV) market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 49 percent between 2022 and 2030 and will see one crore units in annual sales by 2030, but the shortage of skilled EV talent could impact the fast-tracking of India’s 2030 e-mobility target of 30% in the automotive industry.



EV skills are also required to mitigate high unemployment rates. Shortage of such skills is one of the factors driving higher unemployment. Not having adequate skilled professionals before EVs take to the roads in large numbers would be like placing the cart before the horse.

Management lessons learned from trekking in Hills - During the week-long journey, I have had to walk over diverse terrains ranging from large slippery rocks and freezing cold river water to long patches of snow. Up & down hills in such terrains have always been challenging for everyone. Low oxygen levels at high altitudes, and everchanging temperatures...

A very important management lesson shall learn from this, the importance of taking small and focused steps so as to not tumble and hurt yourself. In places like these, a wrong step may even cost someone their life. In one’s corporate career as well, one must focus on his immediate next step in the journey towards achieving great heights. Although it is important to not have a myopic view of things around you and constantly look for disruptive trends, one must also not lose sight of their current plan of action.
