From the garden harvest this year. I made a sweet potato/butternut squash pie; with homemade crust. Pardon the crust edges. Molding crust was a technique I just couldn't learn. The taste of pumpkin spice, ginger, nutmeg, and that hint of vanilla with that buttery crust. It was oh so Delicious. The aroma that filled the house was breathtaking. The two combined made the pie extra creamy and still held a firm hold. Smooth and Silky. I was just experimenting around in the kitchen and I am glad I let my Soul guide me on this one. I wish I could share. This was so nostalgic for me. Back to Soilfulness.. Definitely next season I will be having more wood chip mounds to grow more sweet potatoes and grow more butternut squash.
