Am I the only one who wonders this?

Say the Earth was transparent, and you would be able to see all of the continents from your perspective. My hypothesis is that if you looked directly North from PA, and then looked down not all the way, you would see Russia, but it would appear inverted. This is backed up by what I observed on Google Earth. When you look at the Globe, you should notice that looking North from PA past the North Pole, you would 100% get to Russia because I used straight lines to prove this. Not only would you get to Russia, but you would make it very close to the middle of Russia. Russia is a huge place, and by throwing a dart at Russia, you could end up in a variety of places, but I was lucky to be living in PA where going past the North Pole, you would make it almost directly in the middle of Russia in a straight line. Is there anyone else that wonders about this? Comment down below.

Do some people here go to a school that has only a one week holiday break? The school I go to, Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday breaks are only one week long, and Easter break is only 5 days long.

There are lots of schools out there that have 2 week long breaks while others have only a 1 week or 5 day break for their holiday. I think that having a two week Winter Holiday break would highly benefit students mentally, physically, and emotionally. A two week Winter Holiday break would give kids and parents an opportunity to do various things such as spend time with each other, or go on a trip.
This is where Summer break comes into play. If the holiday breaks were longer, the Summer break has to be shortened because every school year has to go on for 180 days. Winter and Summer are pretty far apart from each other if you look at it in months. Winter and Summer are 6 months apart from each other, so two extended periods of time with family would be evenly spaced out. Not only that, but it would help a student keep on to their regular academic routine by shortening the amount of time kids spend without regular reading, writing, math, and science practice., or reduce the learning lost as suggested by the summer gap theory or summer slide.
In conclusion, there are many reasons why extending the winter holiday break would be beneficial to everyone in multiple ways.
