“IF ₦50,000 IS THE COST OF PREACHING CHRIST, IT’S A PRICE WORTH PAYING.” — PROPHET JOEL OGEBE
Prophet Joel Ogebe has reacted to reports that a pastor was fined ₦50,000 for preaching the Gospel inside a commercial bus, saying the Gospel has always come with a cost.
According to him, if proclaiming Christ results in paying such a fine, it is a sacrifice worth making in light of what Jesus has already done for humanity.
“If that is the cost of proclaiming Christ, then it is a price worth paying. Jesus paid far more for our souls.”
He stressed that the message of Christ must continue to be preached despite challenges or opposition.
“The Gospel has always carried a cost, but it must still be preached, with love, wisdom, and courage. Jesus must be heard.”
His remarks come amid ongoing conversations about the proposed legislation seeking to regulate preaching in commercial buses and other public spaces in parts of Nigeria.

“ABEL DAMINA BEHAVED LIKE A CHILD.” — REV. AUSTIN DEFENDS APOSTLE AROME OSAIYI
Rev. Austin has publicly defended Apostle Arome Osayi following comments made by Dr. Abel Damina during a recent teaching.
Abel Damina criticized Apostle Arome’s testimony that God did not heal his facial paralysis because He intended to use it as part of the grace and revelation entrusted to him. Damina questioned the teaching, arguing that it presented a distorted picture of God’s character.
Reacting to those remarks, Rev. Austin
“We can touch issues, but we don’t touch persons.”
According to Rev. Austin, Apostle Arome was born with his facial condition and it was neither the result of sin nor sickness.
Rev. Austin added that if believers disagree over doctrine, they should present biblical arguments instead of attacking a person’s physical appearance or character.
Defending Apostle Arome as one of his spiritual fathers, Rev. Austin said he had no apology for speaking up, adding:
“Abel Damina behaved as a child.”
He concluded by urging Christians to separate doctrinal disagreements from personal attacks and to uphold respect even when defending their convictions.

Intercession is not prayer request. Intercession is standing in the gap until something shifts
