RIP Prince of Darkness

This one hurts a lot. Big voice in the soundtrack of my childhood and coming home from school and watching The Osbournes was a ritual as a kid. Just glad he had the opportunity to have a proper farewell and go out like the rockstar he was. Thanks for all the memories, Ozzy. RIP

Thanks for all the advice on laptops! I ended up going with the Asus. Despite spending 5 hours fighting with Windows 11 updates and corrupted files, it's proven to be a good choice thus far. Never had these issues with Windows 10 so not the greatest first impression with Windows 11 to say the least but I think I got it all going now lol. Can't wait to really run it through it paces and record some new videos this week with it.

Anybody have recommendations for a good recording/light video editing laptop? I've had a Sony Vaio in the past which was great, a Dell Inspiron currently which has been terrible so looking for something that's just not terrible lol. I'm currently leaning towards an Asus S15 with a Core i9 and 16GB's of memory. I don't need anything too crazy, just something that gets the job done, is reliable, and preferably not too expensive. (~$1000).

Don't know too much about computers so any ideas would be appreciated!

This is an AI generated tab of the new Chevelle track and it's practically note-for-note how I learned it. Scary how much the AI tabs have improved in such a short time. The only thing it seems to struggle with are the positions sometimes and says to play the same chord just in a different position nonsensically but aside from that, it's pretty much dead on. Blows my mind, wish we had this stuff 20 years ago.

Curious to try it with other songs particularly with alternate tunings and see how it deciphers those.

What's your Album of the Year so far?

I can't decide if it's A Piece of Me by Cane Hill or Carnal by Nothing More. I don't know what else might be due out in the next month and a half but I doubt it can top those two.

Two Faced cover got blocked already, I guess it was too fast lol. Gonna try uploading it again later tonight and hopefully it'll be okay then.

Taking a moment from recording covers for the LP album just to give my 2 cents on it; it is surprisingly really good. A true homage to every era of the band and being an OG fan, there's a couple songs that put a big stupid grin on my face because it's the first time in 20 years they brought back the Hybrid Theory/Meteora sound I grew up listening to and was mostly lost over the years with my interest in LP going with it. Straight, early 2000's nu-metal Linkin Park. No, it isn't Chester belting it out on these tracks unfortunately but it doesn't change the fact Emily knocked it out of the park and helped deliver a statement album with some really, really solid songs that any era LP fan can find something on it to like.

The old songs are tough to hear live now, I get that, I feel the same way, but I can't find anything to dislike with the new songs. A lot of critics out there regarding this lineup but I'm not one of them and believe me, I tried to find reasons not to like it but I honestly can't find much that I don't like about it. Even the more pop oriented songs like Overflow and Stained have a really cool vibe, are really catchy, and flow really well for what they are. Then in between you've got Two Faced, an instant LP classic that I think will help win over a lot of critics. This is the best they've sounded in a long time and I have no problems saying that.

When stocking up on new strings costs you over $200, that's when you know you have too many guitars.

I don't think I'm changing strings as often anymore haha.
