Hi friends, associates, enemies, anyone! 😄
This is Tootsie Roll. She is a 2 year old emaciated skin and bones cat in our care right now. Mostly Jessica’s care. She was pulled out of a shelter where she was to be euthanized about a week ago, and needs round the clock care, and I do mean round the clock, like every hour of day and night. But she’s so strong, and willing to fight! She stares right into your soul with those big blue eyes.
Our rescue is out of funds right now and on intake hold, so I am posting in hopes we can get help with her much needed medicines and support care items. This post is public, so please share.
And if you’re an animal lover like us, share to some of the Facebook groups you are in! We need her story spread far and wide.

She’s fought so hard and wants to live, and this little werewolf will be a true beauty when she’s better. ❤️

HeyThere

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and a plea for help. My sweet cat, Jon Snow, is currently at the pet ER receiving urgent medical care at Mountain West Veterinary Specialists. His condition is critical, as he's battling plural effusion, with fluid surrounding his lung/heart space, alongside a concerning mass in his abdomen.
It breaks my heart to see him in pain and discomfort. The veterinary team is doing everything they can to diagnose and treat him, but the costs are overwhelming. The estimated expenses for John Snow's care range from $712 to $1057, and I'm unable to cover these costs alone. His preliminarily vet visit was $200.
If you find it in your hearts to help, I have a GoFundMe set up: gofund.me/89f0c407 . Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in his journey towards recovery.
John Snow isn't just a pet; he's family to me. He is a source of endless joy. His snuggles and silly antics, like always trying to trip me (to get petted), fetching balls, and loving bath water are such cool cat traits! Please, help me give him the fighting chance he deserves. Your kindness and generosity during this difficult time mean the world to my daughter and I.
Thank you for keeping John Snow in your thoughts.
He’s a good, good boy.

TLDR: my beloved cat Stitch has fluid around his lungs and needs a surgery to place a drainage tube.

I need assistance for my 14 year old cat, Stitch.

He went to the local (rural) vet 2 days ago and they did an X-ray determining he has plural effusion (fluid around his lungs) that is squishing his lungs and making it difficult to breathe.

He told me that it could be caused by a multitude of things such as an infection, heart disease, trauma (unlikely) and some others I don’t recall. He said he could live another 5 years even with heart disease if I can get the fluid drained.

He gave Stitch a covenia (antibiotic) shot and referred me to a specialist. We got stitch into the specialist today. Mountain West Veterinary Specialists in Layton Utah. His name is Stitch, and my name is Heather Brown, if you’d like to call in a donation. They are a 24 vet.

I volunteer for a local rescue organization right now, and have 4 cats of my own and 5 fosters. I try to do for my fosters as much as I can afford as the rescue is in a lot of debt (Stitch is my own, just explaining where a lot of my money goes).

I know he’s old. I know there’s lots of other cats in precarious situations right now, but I love my boy.
