We are proud to share that we have been granted a patent for โBifacial Perovskite Solar Cells,โ our R&D innovation developed in collaboration with IIT Bombay.
These next-generation solar cells offer several promising advantages:
๐ Dual-Side Light Harvesting โ Captures sunlight from both the front and rear surfaces
๐ Higher Energy Yield โ Enables higher power generation from the same area
๐ Tunable Bandgap โ Ideal for high-efficiency tandem solar cells
๐ Lightweight & Flexible โ Thin-film technology enables versatile applications
๐ Good Low-Light Performance โ Performs well under diffuse and low-light conditions
๐ Potentially Lower CostโEnables low-temperature and scalable manufacturing
Our Chairman, Shri B. Sairam, visited Hurra C OCP and Rajmahal OCP of our subsidiary, Eastern Coalfields Limited.
At the outset, Shri Sairam visited Hurra C OCP, where he planted a sapling and inspected the Coal Handling Plant and mining operations. He then proceeded to Rajmahal OCP, where he took stock of the ongoing operations and the 10.5 MTY-capacity Coal Handling Plant currently under construction.
Later, he chaired a review meeting and emphasised the need to accelerate production and coal supplies.
Rajmahal OCP has registered over 10% growth in production and over 11% growth in OB removal so far this fiscal, compared with the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Production has already crossed 5 MT in FY 2026โ27.
Shri Satish Jha, CMD, ECL, along with the senior management of ECL, was also present on the occasion.
Layered levies across the mineral value chain have long added invisible weight to production costs. The MMDR Amendment Act, 2026 addresses this by rationalising the taxation structure โ reducing cascading charges and bringing greater cost predictability for the sector.
We organized an insightful symposium on the theme โVigilance for Integrationโ (เคธเคคเคฐเฅเคเคคเคพ เคธเฅ เคธเคฎเฅเคเคคเคพ) as part of the ongoing three-month Preventive Vigilance Campaign.
The symposium focused on key aspects of strengthening vigilance and ethical practices across the organisation, including seamlessly aligning vigilance mechanisms with organisational objectives to drive corporate excellence, exploring proactive strategies for ethical integration across critical operational workflows, and sharing expert recommendations to foster transparent, ethical and value-driven governance.
Our Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, along with distinguished guests and thought leaders, including Shri Rajeev Verma, Dr. (Prof.) Rahul Awasthi and Shri Prem Shankar Tripathy, shared their valuable insights and perspectives during the programme.
A Training of Trainers on Master Circulars and Vigilance Manual 2026, organised by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), was held at our Corporate Office in Kolkata.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by our Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Shri Brajesh Kumar Tripathy. The session featured insightful deliberations by Shri Rajiv Verma, Consultant, CVC; Shri Ajai Kumar Verma, Director, CVC; Shri Arvind Kumar, OSD, CVC; and Shri A. K. Rath, CVO, SBI.
Around 60 participants from more than 30 PSUs took part in the programme, fostering knowledge-sharing and strengthening a common understanding of vigilance guidelines and practices.

A mineral shouldn't cost differently depending on where it's mined โ a truly national market needs uniform rules.
The MMDR Amendment Act, 2026 brings greater uniformity in fiscal treatment, creating a more predictable and competitive national mineral market.
One market. Greater competitiveness.
