regarding the possibility of the U.S to participate in the ‪@EurovisionSongContest‬ , I am going to say that I DISAGREE about this idea, and I think I have to share to you my reasons:
1. it will ruin the EURO spirit in EUROvision. the contest is named EUROvision for one (or some) reason(s). it's like the U.S. soccer team wanting to participate in the UEFA Euro, doesn't make sense.

2. the U.S. do not have any connection to Eurovision at all. it's different from Australia, where they have broadcasted Eurovision intensely for more than thirty years.
3. the U.S. music industry dominates too much. I don't like the idea that the U.S. should be involved in every intercountry contest.
4. most U.S. people are still unable to distinguish a SINGING/VOCAL/VOICE contest (Idol, X Factor, and/or The Voice) and a SONG contest like Eurovision. Idol and the Voice are SINGING/VOCAL/VOICE contest, focusing on their singing/vocal ability and joined by mostly unsigned artists singing for themselves, while Eurovision is a SONG contest/competition, focusing on the songs (so it's the songs actually that are competing) and can be joined by both newbies and established artists, singing their own new song representing their country (similar to the Olympics, but for music).

my suggestions for EBU if the U.S. still want to take part, without ruining the original Eurovision:
1. they should let the U.S. just broadcast Eurovision on one of their associate EBU members (ABC, CBS, or NBC) every year without participating, just like the pre-2015 Australia.
2. they should advice NABA (North American Broadcasters Association), CBU (Caribbean Broadcasting Union) and OTI (Organización de Telecomunicaciones de Iberoamérica) to collab with each other and co-organize a continental, Pan-American Song Contest, validated by the EBU as the official pan-American edition of Eurovision, with the 90++% similar format to Eurovision's, so that the U.S. do not have to participate in Eurovision (suggested participating countries are attached).
3. after both of them are fulfilled, they should approach ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union) and AUB (African Union of Broadcasting) to organize Asiavision Song Contest (for ABU) and Afrivision Song Contest/take over and supervise the existing Afrimusic (for AUB).
4. finally, EBU, ABU, NABA, CBU, OTI, and AUB should work together and "find" something like WBU (World Broadcasting Union) that will supervise and co-produce Worldvision Song Contest. The top 10 from every continental contest then move on to Worldvision, making a 41-country Worldvision every year (plus the hosting country of course).
