I may have forgotten Father’s Day
Only because you are not with me
But in heaven along with mom and my brother

You are not forgotten
As you are in my heart always
I know you are watching over me
As you did while you were here
Protecting me with your love and care

To provide and care for us all

I WANT TO SLEEP

Sleep glorious sleep
How I wish
You would come my way
Put my mind at ease
Give me the rest that I need

My mind is too busy
Running amok
Trying to solve the problems of the day
Only to leave me exhausted

Oh crazy mind of mine
Please be quiet
Take a break
At least
For the hours of the night

Do not worry about tomorrow
Let it come and unfold
To offer it’s gifts
Of the day to come

Oh dear mind of mine
Please let me rest
So that I may
Offer the world
The best of me

CELEBRATING YOU ON MOTHER’S DAY

Even though you are not here with me
On this earthly plane
And even more so
I want to celebrate you

You reside in my heart always
For you are a part of me
And I m a part of you

You gave me birth
Raised and nurtured me
To thrive in this world
Which is more challenging
Without your physical presence

I always say
That mothers are next to God
Because of your love
Now you are with Him and His love

I wish you were here with me
Even though I m happy
You no longer suffer
In your physical body

On this Mother’s Day
I want to say I love you
Wishing you were here next to me
So I could wrap my arms around you
And embrace your love
Once more

I miss you every minute every second
