Gonna repost a post I did on Reddit (r/AITA?) cuz I need y'alls judgement, NO BIAS GUYS PLS

I woke up and 5 AM to my brother having a fever and headache, so automatically, the obvious thing I'd do is get some ibuprofen and tell my parents. My dad was awake so I told him.

Dad asked him if he did something that may have caused the fever last night and bro said none, but dad kept INSISTING that he did something. Dad didn't hear some of bro's words so I tried repeating it for him since he has a hard time talking.

Let's just say that didn't end well.

My dad shouted at me, asking me why I was talking to him when no one asked, why I was being so rude and vulgar. (mind you I told him gently and didn't curse at anyone). After he finished talking to bro, he decided to call me out again.

I feel like I'm in the wrong here, and I think I deserved that. He didn't ask. Am I the asshole-
