Asif Ali was sensational, scoring 55 runs off 14 balls, including 2 fours and 7 sixes.

The captain, Faheem Ashraf, contributed a quickfire 22 runs off 5 balls, ensuring Pakistan reached their target in just 5 overs without losing a wicket.

This performance marked a significant victory for Pakistan in the high-octane format of the game, showcasing their batting prowess and ability to chase down challenging targets.

India Innings
India, batting first, finished their 6 overs at a commendable 119 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Robin Uthappa, leading the side, contributed a rapid 31 runs off just 8 balls, including three fours and three sixes, at an impressive strike rate of 387.50.

Bharat Chipli was the standout performer for India, scoring a blistering 53 runs off 16 deliveries before retiring hurt.

Kedar Jadhav added 8 runs, but it was Manoj Tiwary's late cameo of 17 not out from 7 balls that helped maintain the momentum.

Pakistan's bowling attack, with Faheem Ashraf being the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 50 runs in his 2 overs.

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday said that Indian fans who want to visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy will have a brisk visa issuance policy.

“We will be keeping a special quota of tickets for Indian fans and we will try to make the visa issuance policy brisk,” Naqvi was quoted as saying by a newspaper.

He also said that the PCB would like to see Indian fans visit Pakistan and watch the Indian and Pakistan match in Lahore.

A few weeks ago, Naqvi had said that he was confident that India will participate in the Champions Trophy even if it is played in Pakistan.

“The Indian team should come. I don’t see them cancel or postpone coming here and we are confident we will host all the teams in the Champions Trophy in Pakistan,” Naqvi said.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has established a 29-member steering committee dedicated to revitalizing the film industry and addressing the challenges faced by artists, in a move to revive Lahore as the hub of Pakistan's film industry.

Senior PML-N leader Senator Pervaiz Rashid will represent the chief minister on the committee, while Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has been appointed as the committee’s convener. Information Minister Azma Bokhari, the provincial secretaries of information, tourism, and finance, as well as prominent figures from the film and arts sectors, are also part of the committee.

The committee’s primary responsibilities will include developing a roadmap for establishing a state-of-the-art film city, a modern film academy, a technologically advanced film lab and developing the overall film infrastructure. It will also work towards setting up the Punjab Film Fund and prepare proposals and a comprehensive policy for the promotion of the film industry in the province.

Maryam Nawaz has asked the committee to submit a set of recommendations within 15 days, focusing on measures for promoting film and arts in Punjab.

One of the committee’s key goals will be to implement an artist welfare system to provide health insurance, social security, and welfare benefits for artists, along with preparing a plan for developing a housing society for industry professionals.

In addition to the physical infrastructure, the committee will prepare plans for the establishment of artistic expression centers, along with initiatives to promote art and support emerging talent. The committee will also propose policies to increase the number of cinema houses across Punjab, coupled with special incentives for investors in the film sector.

The principal secretary to the chief minister issued an official notification for the formation of the steering committee.

ISLAMABAD:
The government has approved the setting up of 40 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations along motorways at a power tariff of Rs39.75 per unit in the initial draft of EV policy.

The government is also mulling over extending financing to incentivise the production of electric two and three-wheelers.

Sources revealed that in a recent meeting of the committee on EV policy, the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA), represented by Chairman Zafar Masud and others, presented a term sheet for providing incentives to stimulate the demand for electric two and three-wheelers.

Zafar Masud suggested offering Karachi Inter-bank Offered Rate (Kibor) plus 3% to incentivise banks but the chair noted that interest rate should not exceed Kibor plus 2.5%. Masud proposed a debt-to-equity ratio of 80:20, but the chair suggested a ratio of 70:30, as allowed by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

Secretary of the Ministry of Industries mentioned that it could be discussed with the SBP. He stressed the importance of providing insurance coverage for EVs, including battery theft.

Overall, the committee was satisfied with the proposed financing mechanism and it was agreed that the industries ministry and banks would refine the term sheet in collaboration with the Finance Division and the SBP.

Spanish rescuers opened a temporary morgue in a convention centre and battled to reach areas still cut off on Friday as the death toll from catastrophic floods rose to 205 people in Europe’s worst weather disaster in five decades.

In Valencia, the eastern region that bore the brunt of the devastation, about 500 soldiers were deployed to hunt for people who are still missing and help survivors of the storm, which triggered a fresh weather alert in Huelva in southwestern Spain.

Officials said the death toll is likely to keep rising. It is already Spain’s worst flood-related disaster in modern history and the deadliest to hit Europe since the 1970s.

In Alfafar, a suburb outside the city of Valencia, Spain’s third-largest, drone footage showed the tangled wreckage of dozens of vehicles strewn across rail tracks.

“It’s all destroyed, shops, supermarkets, schools, cars,” said local resident Patricia Villar. Close by, a boat that had been carried by the floodwaters lay on a muddy street corner.

Emergency services working to clear cars piled up at the entrance of a flooded underpass in the suburb feared finding more trapped bodies.

“We’re trying to remove vehicles bit by bit to see if there are victims,” one rescue worker told state television. “We don’t know.”

With about 75,000 homes still without electricity, firefighters were siphoning petrol from cars that had been abandoned in the floods to power generators to get domestic supplies back on.

“We’re going from car to car looking for any petrol we can find,” said one firefighter who had travelled to Valencia from the southern region of Andalusia to assist rescue efforts, carrying a plastic tube and empty bottles to collect the petrol from the cars’ tanks.

Mayor Mustafa al-Shell told the BBC more than 20 strikes were reported on Wednesday afternoon in the Baalbek area, with five inside the city itself, where there is a Unesco-listed ancient Roman temple complex.

The Israeli military said it had struck Hezbollah command-and-control centres and infrastructure in Baalbek and Nabatiyeh, in southern Lebanon.

The military also said it had targeted Hezbollah fuel depots in the Bekaa Valley, where Baalbek is located. It gave no details, but Lebanon's state news agency said diesel tanks were hit in the town of Douris, where Mr Shell said pictures showed a huge column of black smoke rising into the air.

The attacks came as Hezbollah’s new secretary-general said the group would continue its war plan against Israel under his leadership and that it would not “cry out” for a ceasefire.

Famous Pakistani drama “Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum” has captured the hearts of many audiences in Pakistan and outside.

The drama is moving towards its finale, starring Sharjeena and Mustafa’s love story.

However, the last episode will be aired in cinemas on November 5, Tuesday, for the audiences living in Pakistan.

The last episode will be available in Cinepax cinemas, including Amanah Mall, Cinepax Hotelone, Jinnah Park, Kings Mall, Mall of Sialkot, Nayyar Mall, Ocean Mall, Packages Mall, and World Trade Center at 8 pm.

The screening of the episode will be done in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Karachi and Islamabad.

Also, ME Cinemas will also air the last episode in Atrium Cinemas, Karachi, and Centaurus Cineplex, Islamabad.


The prices of the tickets are set between Rs550 to Rs950, featuring the air in Gold and Silver screens.

Non-Pakistani audiences should be saddened by its airing in cinemas only, as it will be available on the official YouTube handle of ARY Digital.

The drama has also gained the highest rating on IMDb in Pakistani drama history ever, with 9.2 stars out of 10, even before its conclusion.

Following the success of hit dramas like ‘Meray Paas Tun Ho’ and ‘Ishq Murshid,’ ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’ has emerged as a standout series with its engaging storyline focused on the theme of “Opposites Attract.” The main characters, portrayed by Fahad Mustafa and Hania Amir, showcase how differing personalities can beautifully complement each other.

This series marks Fahad Mustafa’s notable return to the drama industry after nearly ten years, while Hania Amir continues to excel on television. The talented cast also features Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari, Emmad Irfani, Maya Khan, Naeema Butt, and Tauseeq Haider.

It is not the first time a Pakistani TV drama finale is being screen in cinemas. In 2018, HUM TV produced Suno Chanda also ended with the final episode being screened at cinema, a move that generated a mixed response from audience.
