Occupying Narrm (Melbourne, Australia), where I try to live respectfully on these lands stolen from their traditional custodians: the Wurundjeri, the Bunurong and the Wadawurrung/Wathaurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, extending a relation of connection with other First Nations of this land known as Australia and globally, I apologise for this Western appropriation and subjugation as an instance of colonisation.

I thank and apologise to First Peoples for this hospitality that causes loss of sovereignty, and offer my respect for all Ancestors for your principles entailing sustainability: Care for Country: lands, animals, waters, and sky from, and for, time immemorial. Sovereignty has never been ceded as such I ask to become a citizen of these relations, relinquishing colonial rule then I may also survive this climate catastrophe.
