We are The Bridge Family!
We are a happy go lucky family of that consists of: Scott (Dad), Katie (Mum), Teddy (Son), Willow (Floof) that have a huge passion for travel, adventure and exploring what the world really has to offer.
On the 24th of February 2023 our life was turned upside down, when what was always the worst imaginable nightmare, soon became our devastating reality. We found out that our 10 month old son Teddy was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare form of AML leukaemia. As you can imagine, no parents can ever prepare you for this news. We were quickly transferred from our local hospital to the famous Great Ormond Street Hospital in London to fight for our son's life. My son had a 183 day fight in hospital and finally rang that bell.
You are joining us now as we attempt to start our long journey on Teddy's road to recovery post bone marrow transplant and do our best to rebuild our life as the Bridge family.

Tomorrow’s video was one of the hardest parts of our hospital stay… ❤️
THE BIG TESTS. Our boy undergo’s a Lumbar Puncture to check his CNS for Cancer and a MRI of his Brain and pituitary gland.
After everything Teddy has already been through, we never expected something as simple as getting a cannula in to become such an ordeal.
4 attempts. 4 failures.
As parents, there are moments where you’d give absolutely anything to take your child’s place… and this was one of them.
Tomorrow’s video shows the reality of those few days at Great Ormond Street Hospital — the test, the emotions and the moments we simply weren’t prepared for.
And all the while, we were still waiting for the results that had brought us back to hospital in the first place…

After our windows leaked, we had to build up the courage to cut TWO MORE huge holes in the roof! 😅

Tomorrow we prepare to tackle what might be the most nerve-wracking part of our campervan conversion so far... 😳
✂️ Cutting TWO HUGE HOLES in the roof of our MAN TGE for our roof fans!
Before we build up the courage, we spend the week getting everything ready:
✅ Cleaning the van✅ Collecting supplies✅ Building the internal timber support frames✅ Planning every measurement✅ Double and triple-checking before making the biggest cuts yet!
And of course, we also take some time away from the build for a family day at the beach ❤️
