Singing Wells is a collaborative project between the Abubilla Music Foundation in the UK and Ketebul Music in Kenya. Our goal is to record, archive and share the tribal music of East Africa for two important reasons: to preserve and celebrate the extraordinary cultural music heritage of the region, and to help make this legacy relevant and fresh to today's musicians.

We are very excited to launch the first mixtape curated by Authentic Voices Africa, a Uganda collective who are reviving the deep spiritual essence of traditions and heritage along tribes of the
River Nile in Uganda, intertwining the raw energy of indigenous Hip Hop and ancient
chants combined with modern electronical instrumentals. This is the first of many mixtapes to come :)

For the last decade, Singing Wells has endeavoured to share the incredible music that East Africa has to offer with as many people as possible. What started as a slow and steady endeavour soon picked up pace, and we are ecstatic that these performances have now been seen 10 million times by people across the globe. Over the next 10 days, we will be celebrating some of the greatest Singing Wells moments, and the parts of our experience that have made this such an exciting project to be a part of. We hope you join us in celebrating this beautiful music, and we hope you'll be with us for the next 10 years (and hopefully 20 million views!)
