Oh my God, I love this new Isaiah Rashad album so damn much. I have not been able to stop playing Supaficial.

And I've been screaming that "SOMEBODY PRAY FOR ME I'M GOING CRAZY, SOMEBODY PRAY FOR ME I'M GOING CRAAAAYYZZYY" part on the intro at random parts of my day all weekend.

Isaiah Rashad takes his times with his albums, but he always comes back and delivers projects that I can never stop replaying. I love this man's music.

2 years ago today, we witnessed one of the craziest moments in Hip-Hop history, where Kendrick Lamar dropped 6:16 In LA at exactly 6:16 LA time…

Later at 8:06pm, Drake responds with Family Matters, only for Kendrick to respond again less than an hour later with Meet The Grahams at 8:58pm 😭

Not only that, but Kendrick followed up AGAIN with Not Like Us less than 24 hours later…

The whole world was going crazy at wtf just happened. Kendrick was a psychopath for this and I’ll never forget that feeling during that day of 4 diss tracks.

The way this was all lined up was masterful.

He’s currently on an insane 3-album run imo, with his last album “Dark Times” being one of my fav albums I’ve heard in years…

I actually can’t wait for this. The new single was powerful too. Vince never misses.

I wanna quickly check in with you guys. One of my fav things ever was always to read the comments, have conversations, and interact with you guys, and I feel like I haven’t been doing that as much cause I’ve been running low on time lately, but I wanna work on that and make more time for that!

I really hope you guys are doing well and spending your time doing things that excite you or progress you. And if you’re not exactly doing too well, I hope you get past whatever you’re struggling with and come out of it stronger. Just know that everyone is struggling with something and that you’re not alone. And life always has been, and always will be, something that comes with waves of ups and downs. That means that if you’re experiencing some downs, it’s only a matter of time until the wave of ups comes. You’ll experience those ups soon enough, and you can work on ways to speed that process up. Don’t ever feel like you’ll always be down because that simply just isn’t true.

Regardless, whether we feel like things are going good or bad, at the end of the day, we’re blessed, and things can ALWAYS be worse. I know it’s easier said than done, but try to be grateful for life in its ups and downs, and appreciate the downs because they lead to growth. What we don’t realize is that those downs are often necessary for us to achieve the ups. When you feel like you fall back, it leads you to climb back forward, and we usually climb back much higher than we ever were. We fall back 2 steps, and when we fall, we then reflect and figure out how to climb back up 10 steps. The decline is what influences an even bigger incline.

And if you feel like you’re doing well, I’m glad. Keep progressing forward and don’t stay comfortable just because things are going good. Stay uncomfortable.

Whether things are going good or bad, what I’m realizing is that being in a state of feeling “scared”/“uncomfortable” is something people want to avoid so much, but it’s where you wanna be at to keep growing. Embrace that feeling when you’re down, and keep chasing that feeling when you’re up is the advice I wanna remind myself of here.

And whether we’re doing good or bad is subjective and completely something we make up in our own mind. You won’t always feel like you’re doing good, and you won’t always feel like you’re doing bad. But regardless, we can continue growing and continue appreciating life and being happy whether we feel good or bad.

So, how are you doing? How do you feel? What is challenging you, and what are you grateful for? If you feel stressed, why do you feel stressed and why do you feel like you need to have everything figured out at this exact moment? Do you agree that it’s okay to not have everything figured out, and do you have faith that you’ll figure it all out with time? And do you agree that life is short and we should appreciate it in both its ups AND downs? And do you agree that the most amount of growth you make is usually when you feel down? And lastly, do you agree that you can work on improving things the way you want, while still being grateful for life, enjoying the process, and not beating yourself up with stress and a constant feeling of overwhelm?

I’m gonna try to reply to as many comments as I can, but you don’t have to answer in the comments if you wanna keep things like this to yourself. If you’d like though, just try to ask yourself these questions and answer them to yourself at the least.

Whether you feel like you’re doing good or bad, I hope you realize how blessed you are. Everything will work itself out. Don’t stress yourself too much. You got this.
