I've spent the last five years thinking about what I'm thinking about. It's called meta cognition.

And basically it just means that you become aware of being aware. It takes time (and meditation helps). It's not sexy - it can be incredibly boring and frustrating.

It shifts the focus from:

‘Why is everything happening to me?" to "Oh shit, it's not the world - it's the conversation inside my mind". 

This has been the biggest game changer in my life. And I know that the only thing standing between myself and what I want is ME. As with anything in life: change the pattern, change reality. If you implement an efficient computer program, you're most likely going to be more efficient.

If you find out how to get from Hyde Park to the London Eye, chances are you're going to get end up right there, and not at Heathrow Airport. It's literally the same thing as becoming aware of what your mind is doing. Because when you do, you'll also discover there there are very few coincidences in your life.  And that's how you reclaim your power.
