Travelogues featuring adventures in Devon, Cornwall, Europe and beyond!
Hi I'm Shaun and I'm lucky enough to live on the beautiful South Devon coast. Most of my videos will feature local walks or exploring places of interest around the South West of England. And of course when we venture overseas or to different parts of the UK, my camera comes too. These videos are not intended to be tourist guides of any kind. I prefer just to go to places and discover things as I go along. So sometimes I will get things wrong, and in many cases will get lost.. but that's all part of the adventure! Although I have been a radio presenter for over 43 years. I'm still very new at making videos, and still learning. So thanks for your support and patience. And of course, I don't take it too seriously. It's just for fun!

I have a new video going live this Saturday (22nd August). I recently met up with my pal 'The Beast of Exmoor' who offered to take me on a mystery road trip around parts of Exeter and the areas north of there. He turned out to be a lot less scary than his name might indicate and we had a great day seeing loads of places I'd never been to before. A video full of history, a lot of humour and of course glorious Devon scenery.
Premiere starts 11am UK Saturday 22 August and it will be free to watch anytime you like from 12 noon onwards.

This evening, like many many people across the UK.. we went ECLIPSE watching. With a stunning view from Teignmouth Back Beach up the Teign Estuary towards Dartmoor. We took several gadgets (some home made) to assist us. How did we get on? Join us and find out.
The video should go live around 1015pm this evening Wednesday 12 August.

Six months after violent storms caused major damage to the Devon village of TORCROSS and caused the A379 road to collapse. We visit the area to see how it's looking now. We were met with quite dramatic scenes. Also includes a visit to Blackpool Sands Beach, the Higher Ferry in Dartmouth and the stunning scenery along that stretch of the South Devon coast.
Premieres Saturday 1 August at 11am UK. Then free to watch anytime you like once the premiere has finished.

There will be a sneaky midweek video tomorrow but if I'm honest it will only really be of interest to railway enthusiasts. I go off trainspotting with my mate Gordon at BRIG railway station in Switzerland. An important railway junction alongside the entrance to the Simplon tunnel to Italy. What can we see in an hour and a half. Put your anorak on and join us to find out!
Premieres Wednesday 29 July at 11am UK time. Free to watch on demand once the premiere has finished.
The on Saturday we'll be back in good old Devon....

In the final Swiss video of the current series we cruise LAKE LUCERNE. With azure blue waters surrounded by Alpine mountains and stunningly pretty villages we find ourselves wondering "Is this the ULTIMATE Alpine paradise?"
Stay to the end as we conclude with a scenic rail trip on another one of Switzerland's iconic trains.
Actually when I say the final Swiss video... there will be a sneaky midweek one next week which will only really be of interest to train enthusiasts...
Cruising Lake Lucerne premieres Saturday 25 July at 11am UK time. Then free to watch anytime once the premiere has concluded.

I had a message from a viewer yesterday who was ASTOUNDED that we didn't show the Rhine Falls (near Schaffhausen) on the 'We Go to Germany for Lunch' video, and they suggested that I should do more research if I'm going to make travel videos.
Many thanks to that person for their observation and suggestion. Just a couple of points in reply. 1) We only decided to do that trip at the very last moment (which you can do when you've got a Swiss pass) as Zurich was very very hot and sweaty (38 degrees C), and 2) They are maybe missing the point of my videos. I do some research when it's a planned video but in the main I like to turn up somewhere and explore and find things out as I go along, as someone would if they'd just called in somewhere for a look around. I don't over-research as I'm not trying to make informative tour videos.. there are plenty of other better qualified people on You Tube who do that far better than I ever could. My videos are essentially just me (or us) having a wander around and exploring.. and that's how I like it, and hopefully you do too?
We did see the Rhine Falls from the train and our friend Rena took a photo through the train window which I'll post below. I wasn't fast enough to capture it on video. Sadly we didn't have time to go back there but it's definitely on the list when we go back. I'm sure you'll agree though that Schaffhausen itself was a very beautiful place to explore.

We have a sneaky midweek video this week as we bring you the penultimate video in the Swiss series. This time we explore one of the lesser visited (by tourists) Swiss lakes as we cruise LAKE ZURICH. Starting in the city and working our way down to the stunning medieval town of RAPPERSWIL with it's spectacular lakeside castle. Stay tuned to the end to find out where we surprisingly end up...
Premieres Tuesday 21 July at 11am UK time. Free to watch anytime you like once the premiere has run. And watch out for the final Swiss video (for now...) on Saturday which (I think) shows this spectacular and beautiful country off at it's very best!
